yeah, that sounds about right for the US, 300,000 - 350,000!! :D

in the UK i reckon pushing 150,000!! :cheer:

I'm really not sure on the UK or US to be honest....

I mean Dirrty was huge and Stripped debuted really low after that.

I think she's built up more of a fanbase since Stripped was first released, so I think it'll make a good debut. UK #1 album? Not sure really, I think it's touch and go, and depending what she's up against.

I think a Top3 entry is very possible, but not sure about #1, as you said Aly, we must see about who she's up against. -_-

August 14

Leigh Nash (Six Pence None The Richer) - Blue on Blue

Obie Trice - Second Round's on Me

Paris Hilton - Paris

Pete Yorn - Nightcrawler

Rory Block - The Lady and Mr. Johnson

Sarah Kelly - When the Past Meets Today

Spearmint - Paris In A Bottle

I would say Christina has NO competition in it's week of release unless you think Paris Hilton is a threat.

Therefore she will only have to worry about existing albums from Razorlight, Lily Allen, James Morrison, etc.

So I predict a debut UK #1 album for Christina.

Oh dear, I think it's safe to say Chrstina has ruined her chance of #1 by releasing on the same week as Paris Hilton.

I do hope you're joking Alywags.

lol no doubt she will debut #1 in the UK probably w/150k first week sales.

In the US Stripped debuted #2 w/330,000 first week sales it was kept from #1 by the 8 mile soundtrack which sold 700k-800k first week.

My point is she debuted w/330,000 w/a single (Dirrty) which flopped in the US (#48 peak) + all the negative backlash she was getting for not having clothes on and so forth.

Now if she got that much the first week w/a flop single w/ANOM she should do 450k-500k because theres no backlash this time around and the single is top 10 unlike Stripped.

Compare this to Yonka whose album dangerously in love debuted at #1 w/310,000 albums while Crazy in Love was at #1 being a huge hit.

Goes to show u how loyal of a fanbase Christina has.

good point^^^

I honestly wouldnt be surprised if she sold 450K - 500K! She deserves it :D

Of course. Christina should go top 3 at least, I'll be surprised if Paris makes the top 40.

If the album missed Top75 I would die laughing, but the single is gonna be Top20 I can feel it. <_<

The single might not make the top 20, in the space of a day, it has slumped TEN places on iTunes. No amount of publicity seeking will get it top 10 though, 15ish at best I think. And the album will bomb horifically in every country released, and I will be there to laugh in her face when it does. :smoke:

Have you seen it tumbling down Billboard as well?
I was HORIFIED when it debuted in the Top20, but then as I slowly watch it drop I began to feel better. http://www.britney.com.br/forums/style_emoticons/default_black/ho.gif
