I can't remember what the show was but it definitely wasn't a pantomime. I don't sit near the front at those if I have to go.

I think I can guarentee no big yellow chickens - mind you, they do chase the pig around.

I don't think we'll be asked to take part. I think a scripted show makes that difficult. If we get stopped on goin g in and made to dress in army uniform, I may change my mind.

I really think we are very, very safe. They wont want us to ruin it for them.

That's what I thought but you see the very words "audience participation" strike fear into me. I have bad memories of a great big fella dressed as a yellow chicken descending upon me and sitting on my knee.

You mean you wouldn't want Darius sitting on your knee.....

from the look of the theatre layout I'll be lucky to get into my seat :o

I'm excited about being so close :) I would certainly get involved if I could, but if it meant dressing up, I won't be able to, as they won't have a uniform/costume to fit me

We could be surrounded.

I think it will be fine, its usually standup comedians that are the worst for involving you if you are in the front row, I dread that. I cannot see them doing much other than moving past the seats uisng the isles

They can't really. if they plaster it down too much, how is it going to be right for the later scenes in the second act. On the film set they could stop filming until they got the gunk out of Gable's hair at leisure but there's no such luxury on stage.

Maybe they won't touch his own hair and they'll give him a 'smarmy' wig.

Oh Dear :o and him having such lovely hair too. How is his hair described in the book? He may get a cut before the previews if it is supposed to be shorter. That would counter the control problem too, if it was just staying the same.

he must need to have his hair smart - then unruley and unkempt for the drunk scenes..its a shame that darius wont be able to grow his own stubble in an hour or so..its harder than a film in the way you don't have time to portray some changes naturally

I had a quick skim but I don't see anything to indicate it's got to be plastered down at all. In the drunken scene (before the dash up the stairs in the film), his hair is described as "rumpled". Don't you need a bit of length for hair to get rumpled?

I think they may have to thin Darius's hair to tame it a little.

I vote for the natural waves. The style in the 19th century was for longer hair and that length would be controllable.
