There are a lot of people who are already members. Maybe some are like me and can't readily recall usernames or passwords and are being rejected because there's already someone with that username or e-mail. I don't know how you would get around that.

 

I can re-set their usernames and passwords if needed be, but it be like a needle in a haystack trying to find their old user name, I think a new account would be better off, than I probably find the old account and suspend it.

This is when I realise im getting old, there was a member on sonnets and devotees who always posted the newspaper reports before everyone,usually first thing in the morning, cant think of her name although she was very regular and has posted fairly recently on there with the latest things but may not know whats happened also sister mother.

battlecat - she was one of the victims of negative posts and decided not to bother any more. If a response comes over as aggresive, it puts people off. I'll see if I can get in touch with her. I think Jill will already know but I'll email her as well.

That's the trouble with posting as against talking. Sometimes posts can be mis-interpreted as aggressive when they were not intended

that way.

If any new user from sonnets is having a problem validating their account on here, can any member PM me, I can validate their accounts manually, especially with users with hotmail accounts as they usually end up in the junk box. I will need their display name they are using if anyone PMs me.

Hello All - I was and still am Sooz :D

I've always found it to time consuming to post on all forums so have basically kept to posting on just one, but reading on others when I've found time.

I've not seen any forum yet that doesn't have a certain amount of negative posts and that's noting to do with the forum but everything to do with people who post. I've learnt to ignore it, as long as I can keep up to date with Darius career I'm happy - wherever I lay my hat, that's my home http://bestsmileys.com/hat/4.gif

I too was wondering what had happened to the .net forum. I know all too well the difficulties in running a forum, and Rachel has my full admiration for continuing it as long as she has.

 

I hadn't posted for a while but popped in every day to see what was going on, or if there was any news. Like many others I avoided certain sections as I couldn't be bothered with the arguments. I may not post here often but I'll keep an eye on what's being said :)
