I've been tossing up whether to changeover to Sky broadband because it's free (2mb) other than a £40 connection charge but now that I've heard a few people on different sites moaning about cable broadband, I'm not too sure.

 

Then again, my son had the all-singing, all-dancing communication package in America and he didn't have any probs.

 

I think I better just hang fire and see what people have to say about Sky when it really gets going.

I'm fine on Rachel's site. I'm ntl as well, it could be local cabelling, maybe?

 

Sky's broadband is capped at 2GB. It costs to have a higher capping.

ntl isn't capped. It seems swings and rounabouts.

 

Sue, ask ntl if theyu can provide you with a seperate broadband connection (instead of through your box) if you are having constant trouble.

I'm on NTL cable broadband, which I believe is capped - had it for a year now and never had any usage or connection problems at all.

ntl isn't capped - it's one of the reasons we stayed with them.

Mine is capped Meg, or at least it was when I signed up to it - 2GB monthly - I know that, because I was worried whether it would be ok, having no clue what my useage was/is -but I've never been cut off or charged more, so it must have been alright.

I havent been able to get on since yesterday afternoon. Just says page not available.
