arrr..well I do think more ravishing by Darius is needed..did Scarlet let it be known she really enjoyed that night, she was like the cat that got the cream in the film the next morning showing that what she really needed was excitement and passion and forcefulness in a man!! only I was purplexed when Darius in an interview mentioned domestic violence - and wasnt sure if he was on about the slaves being slapped or Scarlet and Rhett, it didnt come across like that in the book or the film to me.

It didn't come over in the show like thar either. But it could have started like that fot the first few seconds - she wasn't being asked, she was being taken.

It's Darius..................... but she could still pretend to struggle a bit more.

In the film and the musical, from what I have seen and what D has said, that particular scene portrays marital rape, as Scarlett has decided that they will no longer sleep together, but Rhett takes matters into his own arms. In the morning, Scarlett doesn't regret what has transpired, probably realising this passion is what had been lacking in her life, but just because that was the case, it doesn't mean Rhett was anything but completely out of order for his conduct, hence his apology. I think this was what D was referring to PIP.

I still think the scene would work better with a couple of buttons undone. Up to that point Rhett has always taken care to dress immaculately. It would match the disintegration of his mental state better.

I'll ask him, but only when I've got the camera in place to get the reaction.

seeing the photos form yesterday afternoon I am quite envious, but we had to shoot off! I think I owuld have been too emotional and embarrsed as well, think my makeup had run by then..LOL

You'll have to invest in a waterproof one for next time.
