Right to date take that have only had 4 singles have a number 2 peak, i included shame as its kind of a take that hit if you know what i mean, anyhow that aside please vote for your favourite and if you like rank the 4 songs in order of preference when posting.

Rule the world gets my vote as its arguably the best single they have done. The flood for me came aq close 2nd as i adore the song aswell. I do like shame but its not in the same league at all as rule the world or the flood and why cant i wake up with you is one of my least favourite singles from them.

I went with RTW ... as much as I don't like it as much as Patience ... it is way, way superior to The Flood. Number 2, quite rightly is the position The Flood deserved to peak at (in fact ... more than) but RTW should have been number 1.

I agree rule the world really deserved to have been a number 1 and for a song that sold so higely its a shame it never reached the top spot and as much as i love the flood i dont think anyone will top rule the world for me. Funnily enough both rule the world and the flood will both outsell many of thier number 1 hits, but i do believe sales wise patience and rule the world wont be beaten with any singles they relesae in the future although id like to be proven wrong.

When patience was released take that were in a way a singles band but nowdays they are an albums band which is fine with me but its still great to see they can sell singles quite well, in time the flood has the potential to sell around 500,000 in the UK as when this coming weeks sales are added in the flood will be on around 420,000.

It was indeed its chart nemesis, i like bleeding love but in terms of leona, run was better, i woul dhave prefered run to have stopped rule the wworld getting to number 1 rather than bleeding love.

This was only ever going to be a 2 way battle and im glad of that in a way as the flood and rule the world are my clear favourite 2 songs since the return of take that and both would make my top 5 ultimate take that songs aswell. Why cant i wake up with you never did anything for me i always found it completly boring and it makes id wait for life energetic!!

Rule The World again wins my vote but i truly love The Flood but sadly i can only vote for one.

No Kath, The Flood deserved a number 1 peak, it was a fantastic song and was beaten by JLS who's song was abysmal and bland. At the time I had a feeling RTW wouldn't go number 1 with the Leona release on the same day and then after week 1 and seeing how strong it was it just reaffirmed that RTW would end up at number 2. WCIWUWY was close to being number 1 wasn't it? Im sure i read somewhere, probably Gayr's autobiography that it was number 1 in the midweeks but dropped to 2nd by Sunday, cant remember who beat it but i quite like that as well.

With The FLood and Shame i expected both to go number 1, I never saw Cee Lo having the hit he did with Forget You, but as we know if TT and the label/management hadn't pushed the release date forward then it would have opened with 140k+ in its first week with the physicals, the downloads, the XF CIN, Radio promotion. So for that reason Im going with The Flood as if it was managed properly it would have outsold Rihanna the week she beat them and would have nearly doubled JLS opening sales the week after

No Kath, The Flood deserved a number 1 peak, it was a fantastic song and was beaten by JLS who's song was abysmal and bland.

But it was Rihanna's 'only girl in the world' that kept TF from the number 1 slot - not JLS.

I still stand by my view that The Flood wasn't a patch on RTW. It was an OK song but nothing more.

I adore the flood and so wanted it to be a number 1, rule the world i do prefer its a classic for me and i love it and have never tired of the song one bit and still listen to it alot. I do prefer rule the world to the flood but the flood would rank very high in my fave take that songs i just love the chorus and i especially love the song from about the half way point onwards. I just wish songs like rule the world and the flood were part of their number 1 hits rather than songs like sure and everything changes or even back for good.

I actually really like Everything Changes, only since Robbie rejoined have I actually appreciated it as a bloody catchy song

And Kath, yeah Rihanna kept them off the first week and JLS stopped them getting number 1 the next week. But if they had released it as scheduled on the same say as JLS then The Flood would have stormed to number 1.

Yes, that is what annoys me, if they stuck with original release plans the Flood would now be a number 1 hit, that said, the flood has sold extremely well and sales are more important than chart positions.
Yeah 500k+ sales is very impressive for a single from a 2million+ selling album in the UK alone. I just wish that it would have got to the top spot as it is alot stronger than the likes of Sure or Babe

Ya i agree, the flood is so much stonger than songs like sure and the flood was far more deserved of number 1.
Speaking of number 2 hits - RTW re-enters the charts at 52 this week!

Ya and im happy with its return, also helps add more sales, rule the world is their 2nd biggest selling hit after back for good, i know i keep saying it but its such a shame its not part of their number 1's.
