Posted January 6, 201114 yr Try and be creative by picking artists who aren't just your favourites. Name those who you think may get big! I'm hoping for big things from; Emma's Imagination - Must Be The Music winner, 2 top 10s already with the album out on Monday. Could be a surprise album seller? Wynter Gordon - Has a huge music catalogue without officially releasing anything haha! I'd say it's only a matter of time before she makes it! Nicki Minaj - Already huge in the US, but I imagine the success will be mirrored here soon with a clever release, not sure what of yet but maybe 'Fly' will propel her!
January 6, 201114 yr I want to see the ladies of UK hip hop and urban music blow up in 2011-Shystie, Ruff Diamondz, Cherri V and Ms Dynamite to have a huge chart impact again. American folk act Lissie had the best song of 2010 When I'm Alone, I wish she would hire a stylist and make it bigger this year, she is so talented. Adam Lambert needs a better crack at the UK market. R-Kelly's new signing K Michelle is amazing and is great live.
January 6, 201114 yr I think girlgroups may make a bit of a return, Wonderland and Parade I can see breaking through and Sound Girl have a bit of a chance. I can see the saturdays improving album sales too and possibly getting their first #1 if they release the instant catchy song as lead. So girlgroups as a whole rather than any individually. I keep hearing 'Clare Maguire' everywhere, I don't know that much about her but think she is in with a chance. Deffinely going to be Jessie Js year though & I agree with Nicki Minaj she's appears to be getting very very popular also I think Adele could do very well. January 6, 201114 yr Oh, I'm certain Wynter Gordon will break through EVENTUALLY. Dirty Talk could be a sleeper hit when it finally gets released next month...
January 6, 201114 yr Jessie J: Will be huge, if 'Do It Like A Dude' can get Top 5, then I reckon 'Price Tag' will be a huge #01 and end up YTD Top 10 tbh. Wretch 32: 'Traktor' will be this years 'Pass Out' and they'll mirror Tinie Tempah's success ... probably on a lesser scale, but still. Adele: Will have a huge year, 'Rollin In The Deep' will easily be #01 and her album will maybe even sell more than her debut! Britney: If she plays her cards right could have a surprisingly huge era, same sort of era as in Beyonce's 'Sasha Fierce', Rihanna's latest, Katy Perry's latest. She definetly could pull it off.
January 6, 201114 yr Two words: JESSIE J That's all. J isnt really a word. That's all? The only big star of 2010 will just be Jessie J? :P I agree, she should have a big year I predict. Staying British i see the ladies, especially Adele & Leona Lewis having successful era's.
January 6, 201114 yr Is Wynter Gordon FINALLY going to happen this year then? At long bloody last. Wonderland on the other hand I really cant see happening. In Ireland perhaps they could be a success, but in the UK, on the basis of the material I've heard - not happening.
January 6, 201114 yr Be creative? Gobble Gobble will be #1 on the BJ multichart from march until december.
January 6, 201114 yr Author I meant creative in that not saying 'JLS will be huge as I luvv them!!!zzz1!!'
January 6, 201114 yr I hope Nicki Minaj does well this year, her album is so good. Adele - If the album is up to par to Rolling In The Deep then the album should be amazing.
January 7, 201114 yr Jessie J Claire McGuire Natalia Kills are the three I expect to big in the UK this year; Claire more so in albums. I'm hoping that Spark can get success but I really don't know. oh and Cher Lloyd
January 7, 201114 yr Is Wynter Gordon FINALLY going to happen this year then? At long bloody last. Wonderland on the other hand I really cant see happening. In Ireland perhaps they could be a success, but in the UK, on the basis of the material I've heard - not happening. Are Wonderland the new girl group who contain the girlfriend/wife/sister of someone vaguely famous? I saw their video last week, completely dull and will surely flop.
January 7, 201114 yr Are Wonderland the new girl group who contain the girlfriend/wife/sister of someone vaguely famous? I saw their video last week, completely dull and will surely flop. Yeap, contains Jodi Albert, wife of Kian from Westlife who I think co-manages with Louis Walsh. The material's very female Westlife who've been given access to some unrelesead Bellefire B-Sides if you ask me.
January 7, 201114 yr JLS will probably get another 2 #1s this year if they follow the same release pattern. (Possibly even 3 if the Tinie version of EWS provides a big enough boost. Imagine that. JLS with seven #1s.) And *hopefully* James Blake will be big but unfortunately I can see him completely flopping LTYL aside. :( 2011 is meant to be the 'year of dubstep' but it's not off to a good start on that front, Nero are going to miss the top 10 with Me & You
January 7, 201114 yr i can see it being another massive year for lady gaga! Avril Lavigne is sure to have a great success along with britney! im hoping belle amie from x-factor get picked up and make it big they were great! also fe-nix natalia kills and wynter have the potenial to be huge
January 7, 201114 yr I really can't see Natalia Kills making it big unfortunately :(. I really hope she does. :( or I'll just have to copy the Xtina loon and buy 46 copies of her album.
January 7, 201114 yr I predict a successful year for Jessie J Edited January 7, 201114 yr by David John
