Posted January 6, 201114 yr From the beaches of Malibu to the streets of LA, "Southland" is a fast-moving drama that will take viewers inside the lives of cops, criminals, victims and their families. I am usually not into police drama, but when the marketing company I work for picked up the campaign from the folks at turner, I fell in love with the raw and authentic look at a police unit in Los Angeles. Tuesday's episode was a great start to the season. Regina King ("Ray," "Jerry Maguire"), who plays Detective Lydia Adams is always kicking it up a notch and each episode has me loving her character more.
