I think people need to get over the fact that she's never going to be the 'Remedy' pop tart they want and instead more of a left-of-field-east-London type of popular music act...

Which is funny because when she came out with Remedy everyone was whinging that she had become a 'pop tart'.

I really like Motorway. I think it's a nice balance between the pop hooks of Hands and the more alternative dance route she's been going recently. Listening to the rest of the album clips on iTunes and nothing is really jumping out.

Is the album seriously happening? As in, if it materialises it won't just be exclusively available from her website? :o

She's gone independent and made her own label ('On Repeat'). It's like she's having her own Make A Scene era already. Album's out May 6th and there will be CDs and vinyls and whatnot but idk about who's gonna sell it.

i actually quite like it!!

although her first album was pretty much pop gold (bar 'earthquake' yuck), this is a fabulous direction for her because it seems so much more natural

It is a lovely song, superior to any of the promo singles so far (and none were bad). I like that it's basically 5 minutes and at no point feels like it drags - of course neither 'Shake' nor 'Stuck On Repeat' felt like they dragged but they both had very lengthy intros, which this doesn't (well, not really).

EDIT: Forgot to post tracklist

1. Motorway (4:59)

2. Confusion (5:01)

3. Broken Record (4:33)

4. Shake (5:31)

5. Beat Beat (4:18)

6. Every Night I Say a Prayer (3:38)

7. Crescendo (5:42)

8. Strangers (6:39)

9. All For You (4:21)

10. Satellites (5:25)

Random to include the track lengths I know but I thought the fact that everything bar ENISAP is so long is interesting if nothing else. And also the lack of 'Headphones' which is a bit sad but it clearly wouldn't fit in anyway.

In other news, 16 unfinished tracks for this album leaked a few days ago and they're very good if in a "if this were the actual album I'd be quite disappointed" way. Certain tracks are absolute crackers. If anyone wants a link you know where to ask.

'Motorway' is incredible. along with Shake and Every Night I Say a Prayer, i can actually say i am OPTIMISTIC about this album. who ever thought.
I'm really enjoying 'Motorway'. It's actually made me quite excited for the album now!

'Broken Record' is amazing. Probably my favourite from this 'era'.

So we've now basically heard half the album, meaning we're only getting 5 new songs in May (6 if you haven't listened to the leaked version of Beat Beat). Can't say I'm excited. She could have bothered to include at least a couple more songs, even if they've previously leaked.

01. Motorway

02. Confusion

03. Broken Record

04. Shake

05. Beat Beat

06. Every Night I Say a Prayer

07. Crescendo

08. Strangers

09. All for You

10. Satellites

11. Little Black Dress

12. Technicolour

13. Headphones

14. Superstitious Heart

15. Whatever Sets You Free

According to her newsletter, Broken Record is the "first official single". What a mess..
Personally I'm glad that the old tracks are included, Shake and Every Night I Say A Prayer always deserved to be on an album, and I haven't really been keeping up that well with her releases. It's not going to sell a bean obviously but she's probably realised that by now.

Is it really coming in 2 weeks? It took so long, can't believe we're finally getting it!
Yep! What's really weird is her Record Store Day remixes EP disappeared off the face of the earth, or at least they didn't have it at either of the shops I went to.

New interview with 7Digital: http://www.7digital.com/features/interviews/little-boots

"But there were definitely times with my old label where I felt like I wasn’t in control of my own career, in terms of what I was doing, or how I was coming across to the public. I got very wrapped up in it because it was a pretty crazy time, especially at the start, and I think I was quite naïve. I think I’ve since gained a lot more confidence in being able to trust myself."

[...]"But most importantly I want to keep writing. I don’t want to end up getting distracted on tour and then forgetting to write anything for two years. I’m really going to try to be strong about that, and make sure I put in the studio time, and that when I get days off they’re spent writing. I’ve already got so many really good songs that I want to record from the Nocturnes sessions. So I’m hoping to record at the end of the summer, and have some new stuff ready to go either at the end of this year or early next year."

New album as early as 2014?

Maybe she means like an EP or something, there's no way we would get another album that soon.

Interesting interview though!

or just a new single. I wonder if she'll release any more singles from Nocturnes after Broken Record. She probably won't since BR is already the 5th one. I still can't believe she only put 10 songs on the album, especially since she's releasing it independently.

Why on EARTH has Michael Woods (feat. this bish) - I Wish NOT BEEN RELEASED?

If she'd had her PAWS on that four years ago she could've been WIPING IT WITH £20s by NOW
