January 12, 201114 yr Why not sure? To be honest, there's so much good stuff out there, from K-Pop, Spanish albums (Shakira especially), even, as mentioned Sigur Ros, I mean they released an album in an entirely made up language! You don't need to understand the words to connect to the emotion of a song, not if it's done right.
January 12, 201114 yr I do listen to music where I don't understand the lyrics. To me, lyrics are like a bonus, not a necessity. I like Sigur Rós, who were already mentioned, and I like a French band called Kyo who have French songs. There are other things here and there too. I listened to an Estonian-language album recently by a band called Blacky, which I hadn't heard in years. Edited January 12, 201114 yr by Mattias
January 12, 201114 yr sigur ros are a good example considering they sing in their own made-up language lol anyway yes, of course, anyone who doesn't is super silly on the topic of older songs, this is my favorite pop song from before this decade: hf5PnEEmOTw
January 13, 201114 yr Always have and always will. English, Spanish, French, German, Danish, Dutch, Portuguese, Swedish, Norwegian, Faroese, Hebrew, Turkish, Finnish, Arabic, etc. In fact i detest listening to music in my home language
January 18, 201114 yr Yes, sometimes I do listen to European music like Spanish and French. Also Korean song what they call K-pop I started listening to them out of curiosity.
January 18, 201114 yr Of course!! I love Alizee, a french pop singer, and I don't really understand a word, but you don't really have to, music isn't always about the lyrics, its about just enjoying what you hear. Also, I love the Mediaeval Baebes, a girl group, who sing in a diverse range of languages, mainly middle english, but also french, russian, irish and latin. Heres a particularly creepy song of theres. How Death Comes
