I start to be really excited about the video now, if the rumors about the filming are true! I know they will get a lot of critics about it... but it was the time to go out from their safe area and make something more related to the actual political life and social movements. :cheer:

Well we are ghetting a b side with the kidz single, its a track called rocket ship.

Out of interest is Kidz being released across Europe as well or is it just UK and Ireland?

 

Yes, it IS being released. They're promoting it all over Europe starting with Germany tomorrow. They will perform "Kidz" on Wetten Dass-the most popular tv show in Germany.I think it will boost the album sales a lot.

They performed The Flood in Germany :puke2: . Määäääääähhhhhhhhhhh, i want Kidz Promotion! I cannot understand why the hell they sang The Flood :wacko:

Strange they perform the flood as it was a good promotion opportunity.

One of the top 10. Such a pity. I think they want to start the promotion in UK, but i don't know if they get the chance to promote in Deutschland once again...

i can see uk promo been good and will kick of with the brit performance on tuesday night.

Thats great news and hopefully top 10 or top 5 next week, good radio play is always a huge help, i also noticed on hmv online the cd single is now £1.999 where this time last week it was £3.99 which i thought was far to over priced.

 

yeahh just pre ordered my copy thru amazon for 1.99, i wonder when we are going to see the music video? surely before the end of the week right?

 

I've just ordered my copy too. This leaving the promo until the very last minute is either gonna do wonders for the single or result in a huge flop. I suppose the idea is that it won't linger around in the bottom half of the top 40 for weeks before being released and getting a weak top 20 placing like most 2nd and 3rd singles from albums these days. Hopefully all the promo and hype from the Brits and the video will mean a decent chart placing next week.

I feel exactly the same, how can the fastest selling album of the century not win best album? and i read today in the paper that Progress has sold more worldwide than all of them put together, but they give it to some next group mumford and sons? im baffled there is no logic there, especially after their strange performance

 

Hows Kidz doing in the Itunes charts? it was 49 about an hour ago

I would have loved if they have got best album as it is a great album but sales really dont determine if an album is good or not. For me i understand why mumford and sons won, granted i prefer progress but sigh no more is a very strong album musically and in terms of sales it has done quite well although not on take thats level but its still only their debut album.

 

For me im just delighted take that didnt go home empty handed,i would have loved the best album win for them but it wasnt to be but best group is a dcent enough award aswell considering the brit academy as we well know dont seem to be take that fans.

 

The performance and the win im sure will do the album and kidz some favours in the sales department aswell.

 

Last update i saw kidz was number 47, i think it will continue to climb though over the next few days, the flood was #53 in the last update i saw aswell.

is there a repeat of the BRITs this week cos that could help sales of Kidz, with any luck it will break top 40 this week and then with the fans buying the CD single and HOPEFULLY PROMO!!! we might be looking at top 15?? hopefully higher

 

 

Tbh I don't think that performance will do a huge lot for the song. It wasn't a 'wow' moment of the show and seems to be one of the less talked about performances of the night.
