March 8, 201114 yr I've always thought the guy is one of the biggest arseholes around. The show is just terrible and I recoil in horror everytime my housemates put it on. Whilst it is not fair to all the people that have lost their jobs due to the crazy douche's antics, at least now we can finally be rid of him and his so-called 'acting'.
March 8, 201114 yr Author It'll be interesting to see if CBS try to salvage one of their highest rated shows or can it to avoid the potential backlash at replacing sheen
March 8, 201114 yr I think they might renew it on a limited order to being with, replacing Sheen, and giving it a full season only if it continues working ok without Sheen. Never seen the show though, so I don't know how easy it would be to explain his disappearance in the show, or whether the replacement will actually be Charlie's character, and he just somehow changed appearance
March 8, 201114 yr The show will fall apart without Sheen. That is what will happen to The Office when steve carell bows out. Shows without the original characters or top main character never continue well. Scrubs is a huge example of failing at that. Even the x files fell apart when Mulder left.
March 8, 201114 yr Possible replacement for Sheen? Two and a Half Men producer Chuck Lorre is reportedly interested in replacing Charlie Sheen with Rob Lowe. Sheen's contract with the CBS/Warner Bros sitcom was terminated on Monday following a production shutdown after Sheen made controversial remarks about Lorre. According to sources for TMZ, Lorre's producing team have reached out to Lowe's management firm about hiring the actor to join the show. Lowe is currently appearing on NBC's Parks and Recreation. The actor has not commented on the Two and a Half Men reports.

Never seen the show though, so I don't know how easy it would be to explain his disappearance in the show, or whether the replacement will actually be Charlie's character, and he just somehow changed appearance   Well the show has already been renewed, it's a case of the network, WB [who produce it] and the show runner agreeing on a way to continue. The ratings a so big that there is incentive for them to at least try
March 9, 201114 yr Possible replacement for Sheen? I remember reading somewhere that Rob Lowe had signed on for two seasons of Parks & Recreation, although I could be wrong. They could easily get rid of his character.
March 10, 201114 yr I've never really watched Parks & Recreation, is it any good/what is it about? ...I really should post this in the P&R thread...
March 10, 201114 yr I've never really watched Parks & Recreation, is it any good/what is it about? ...I really should post this in the P&R thread... It's incredible. The best show at the moment. If you don't seem to like it after the first two episodes, just stay for a couple of more, it WILL grow on you. Season 2 is CLASSIC. Utterly fantastic, every single episode.
March 10, 201114 yr Author I've just discovered Fringe so i'm quite gutted it's probably going to be axed. :( I hope it gets a small mid season 13ep order.
March 11, 201114 yr It's incredible. The best show at the moment. If you don't seem to like it after the first two episodes, just stay for a couple of more, it WILL grow on you. Season 2 is CLASSIC. Utterly fantastic, every single episode. Thank you Tricia. We now move on to Ollie Williams for the weather forecast. Ollie?
March 17, 201114 yr Do you have to keep going on about DH? It's obviously gonna get another season. There are lots of other shows in much more danger. 'Brothers & Sisters' could scrape another season, and is quite a bit lower rated than DH. You could say similar about The Vampire Diaries. It hasn't been renewed yet - oh, does that mean it's in danger. No, it's the highest rated show on The CW. Edited March 17, 201114 yr by Jaack Sykes

'Brothers & Sisters' could scrape another season, and is quite a bit lower rated than DH. It might not Jack, It's a very expensive show to make and with the declining ratings its less and less profitable every year.
March 17, 201114 yr Well, that point may be partly true, but I think ABC need to find another hit drama first. Haven't their new dramas failed the past couple of years?
March 17, 201114 yr Desperate Housewives will get renewed there's no question. Like Jack says ABC have had no new big breakout hits for years, they need one asap and will hold onto big names shows until they get another one. Losing LOST has hit them hard. Greys Anatomy & Desperate Housewives are keeping the network afloat.
March 17, 201114 yr ABC is having no luck with their new shows for the past couple of years. ABC was struggling until Lost, Grey's Anatomy and Desperate Housewives were unleashed. Besides these they have had no real success, maybe Modern Family in recent years. Problem is that Grey's and Housewives are extremely expensive and i fear once ABC finds a show that can rival them or top them, Grey's and Housewives will be gone.
March 17, 201114 yr They're expensive - but successful, there's a big difference. Also both do very well on imports aswell. The only thing that might harm Desperate Housewives is a timeslot change for 11-12, but it just depends what pilots ABC pick-up. There's some interesting ones this year, so who knows..
March 17, 201114 yr I doubt they will move Housewives, it is still winning it's Sunday time slot. Not all the time, but it does on most occasions and it also overtook it's big competition of Undercover Boss this year which I'm sure ABC was happy about. The thing with Housewives is it is successful internationally which could help. I think they will keep Greys and Housewives going to launch new shows with them as they still get the highest ratings on the channel.
