May 4, 201114 yr The Good Wife scored a 2.4 (!) adults 18-49 last night - highest rated episode since OCTOBER. Renewal here we come?!
May 4, 201114 yr The Good Wife scored a 2.4 (!) adults 18-49 last night - highest rated episode since OCTOBER. Renewal here we come?! PRAISE PRAISE PRAISE. Also, I think there are far better shows that you'd enjoy more than Bones. I can understand all the fanboy love but it's just a bit of fluff and from season three the quality hasn't exactly been amazing. Go with Mad Men!
May 4, 201114 yr I'm still on season 2 of Breaking Bad (after getting distracted by The Walking Dead) and then I'll power on through Mad Men. AMC are Gods of television.
May 4, 201114 yr Is the UK getting Mr. Sunshine? I saw it on the web a few times and rather liked it.
May 4, 201114 yr Nikita got my vote from the poll It has been my fav new show this year. But i do wish the UK would hurry and show part 2 of season 1.
May 4, 201114 yr Author The Good Wife scored a 2.4 (!) adults 18-49 last night - highest rated episode since OCTOBER. Renewal here we come?! This close to upfronts it's very unlikely that new ratings are going to factor into the decision. The 4 way bubble it's on, it's all coming down to how much it's going to cost CBS to keep the CSI's on air.

I can understand all the fanboy love but it's just a bit of fluff and from season three the quality hasn't exactly been amazing. Go with Mad Men! Seasons 2 and 6 are the best by far.3 Season 3 had it's moments but was dire for the most part, likewise 4. That one was far too long, but the Gravedigger ep was nothing short of GLORIOUS. Season 5 picked things back up to the standards of Season 1 and 6 has, for the most part, been rivalling 2. 609 was one of the best episodes of the Series and the sniper episodes have been amazing. Hopefully this improvement can continue into 7. BUT Emily's pregnancy will determine how the seventh one goes.

I powered through the entire series last year in a week or so (I read someone did the same on here and it could have been you haha) and I remember the episode in London was the turning point. It went downhill from there and got too silly - it can come across a bit try hard with the comedy elements for me.
May 4, 201114 yr Nikita got my vote from the poll It has been my fave new show this year. But i do wish the UK would hurry and show part 2 of season 1. Surprisingly it's actually one of my favourite new shows too! I hated the idea of it originally and just wanted Alias back but after a few shaky episodes the entire thing has been pretty good.
May 4, 201114 yr I'm still on season 2 of Breaking Bad (after getting distracted by The Walking Dead) and then I'll power on through Mad Men. AMC are Gods of television. GOOD MAN. I love all three (although Mad Men is my favourite and will be yours too) so you're doing the right thing.
May 4, 201114 yr Michael Ausiello has updated his scorecard on CW renewals. Hellcats is looking to be axed while Nikita is still up in the air and One Tree Hill is looking likely to return :cheer:
May 6, 201114 yr New round has started, list of shows that didn't get through: Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior Law & Order: Los Angeles The Defenders S#*! My Dad Says Traffic Light CSI: Miami Mad Love Chase Breaking In Rules of Engagement http://uk.eonline.com/uberblog/watch_with_...l#ixzz1LaAtodlY
May 6, 201114 yr Ergh you confused me then Joao! I had a fist pump moment when I thought CM:SB and CSI Miami had been cancelled and The Good Wife would be safe. I didn't realise it was just a POLL.
May 6, 201114 yr Author A poll that has as much meaning as one carried out by the BNP signalling people in the UK hate immigration.
May 6, 201114 yr Author Oh and if you want TGW news, it just hammered CSI. CSI was down AGAIN from a series low 2.4 to a diabolical 2.2. Bones was up to a 3.3 after it's renewal against a down Grey's [3.5], a down Office [3.5], a up Parks + Rec [2.6] and the aforementioned SLAUGHTERED CSI. I think that's the first time CSI has been thumped by NBC.

Sorry :P I'll make it more clear next time :P A poll that has as much meaning as one carried out by the BNP signalling people in the UK hate immigration. This actually make a difference in whether a programme gets renewed or cancelled. Its helped shows before like the ones I mentioned above and could easily help another show now.
May 6, 201114 yr Author No it really doesn't. The only time a fandom Save Our Show plea has supposedly EVER worked was for Jericho, and that was for 7 episodes and that didn't go so well for CBS. A network will NOT renew a show that gets $h!t ratings because it wins a pointless poll. The p*** poor ratings will mean advertisers won't pay much for the spots and that means the network would lose money. Networks don't exist to lose money. I actually thought you had enough intelligence to realise that these polls were ridiculous methods of generating web traffic for E! et al. http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2011/03/0...lse-hopes/84625 http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2011/05/0...show-poll/91308

They also get extra backing from them it comes to the Upfronts in May. But hey ho, people know where the link is if they want to vote
May 7, 201114 yr Good news Brothers & Sisters fans... Nothing is confirmed yet but word is that ABC are negotiating for a sixth and final season with a reduced episode order. The cast has a minimum guarantee order of 13 episodes but ABC might want as little as 6 (or as many as 18) which will mean renegotiating with the cast and some possibly not agreeing. Calista Flockhart is supposedly signing to appear in six episodes regardless of how many the season has.
