April 23, 201114 yr Well, see my post at the top of page 7... it basically needs to make double that (I can't speak for the studio and what their expectations are but if they were expecting it to be huge I highly doubt they would've released it in April) but it's only been out a week so far so give it another month and $90-100m should be possible although I'm no expert on box office trends. It does seem to be declining at a faster pace than most new releases do.
April 23, 201114 yr I've had a glance through the other Scream films and they all made $160 million+, so I'll be disappointed if we don't get a bit over $100 million. I don't know anything about the box office but I'd expect that to be possible at any time of year with the fourth installment of a huge franchise.
April 24, 201114 yr Was pretty clever, loved some of the lines "f*** Bruce Wills" being my favourite, but all-in-all it was quite frankly shocking. I thought this was meant to be a new FRANCHISE? They had the potential for some pretty interesting new characters, but bar one they killed them all off. Yeah, brilliant!!!!! I know the script was re-drafted though, so it makes me think there were a lot of major character changes...saying that I thought the script at times tried too hard to be clever and witty.
April 24, 201114 yr I think the concept of a new franchise is there. Remember at the end that Jill now has a legacy to maintain? No one was updated with the real news.
April 24, 201114 yr I was suppose to watch this next week with my 'bestfriends' only to find out that they had gone and watched it without me  bestfriends much? UGH.
April 24, 201114 yr I was suppose to watch this next week with my 'bestfriends' only to find out that they had gone and watched it without me  bestfriends much? UGH. :o Those bitches do not sound nice -_- NO SPOILERS PROMISE Well I seen this last week and well It was frigging amazing. Bad reviews can seriously p*** Off. Courteney's face moved, contray to popular belief. The gore factor was upped and I don't know how it passed for a 15! Some serious cringe, turn your head moments with some of the killings! Emma Roberts and Hayden Panettiere were amazing, definately highlights. I found it highly entertaining and the opening scenes definatley rivaled the first film in imaginativity and shock factor. Kristen Bell and Anna Paquin's cameo was utter shocking. People literally gasped at that one. Great audience interaction at one point, "Run you stupid bitch run" someone commented at one point  Great acting and the dialogue was witty. All leading up to a pretty good 3rd sequel! I just hope the box office is good enough for another visit by Ghost Face! Edited April 24, 201114 yr by Jam.
April 24, 201114 yr I am going to see this tomorrow. I hope this is good. I don't want to waste my money.
April 24, 201114 yr I might not see it until the DVD release :(         I'm going tomorrow. At work they sell Vue tickets for £5.
April 24, 201114 yr Regina - Please just go see this! With any friends we can all discuss it Seen it again still in stiches about Emma Roberts running against the mirror & Rock bottom herself threw the glass table The audience was great though :o they interacted alot - with the film. If Scr4m makes 10m+ Usa when it's announced today that will grab a total of 65million and with Uk and worldwide should be at least 72million+ this shows that before the dvd is released it should pass 100million surely?
April 24, 201114 yr I'M SEEING IT A WEEK TODAY :w00t: Stick your lol's up yer arse LalaLand :cheer: Edited April 24, 201114 yr by Regina

I was literally wincing at that part! So uncomfortable to watch! It's under performing at the box office :( They was expecting a $30million + opening at the box office and it's struggling to make that in total :( I'M SEEING IT A WEEK TODAY :w00t: Stick your lol's up yer arse LalaLand :cheer: Woho! You are going to love it, Have fun :D LOL
April 24, 201114 yr Even after Regina has seen it still use spoilers guys as there will be others who haven't seen it, wait till the film is out of the cinema/out on DVD.
April 24, 201114 yr I really want to watch this, but stuff like this scares me! I tried watching some of it online but I could feel myself getting worked up, so I decided to turn it off. I might go to the cinema to watch it so that I can't turn it off. I'll try and rally some friends to come with me, when I'm back at college.

It's really not as scary as the first three, which was a huge letdown for me. :( But I suppose it brings in a new audience. It's much more comedic this time round and yeah it has a couple of brief gory moments, but it's nothing too bad imo.
April 24, 201114 yr it has a couple of brief gory moments, but it's nothing too bad imo. WHAT! Are you kidding me. The majority of scenes with Ghost Face were just full of gore and blood.

I blame the fact that there were few "chases" - people tend to be stabbed pretty quickly after Ghostface appears in this film, whereas in the others (such as the infamous intro to the first Scream) he plays with them a lot more.
