Bland muzak. Lift soundtrack.

The kind of $h!t that you got at midnight on Radio 2 in 1985.

And don't start about being post-modern, ironic or whatever.

8.8 on pitchfork? Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. Idiots.

Not here that's for sure.

I am getting to the point where a pitchfork recommendation is a sure sign of drivel.

Why would I want to listen to a facsimile of music I hated 25 years ago?

This album has really made me angry for some reason.

it's getting acclaim from pretty much every other review source, not just pitchfork

your irrational hatred of p4k is trite and annoying

Why is it irrational, trite and annoying? Because you don't agree?

And I have my own mind and know when I hear music I don't like.

When two of the names mentioned in connection with the record more than once are Kenny G and David Sanborn (and this seems to be meant in a positive way) then my opinion of it is confirmed.

Not at all, it's trite and annoying because you're always on about it, even when it's rarely relevant and you come off as incredibly arrogant/smug about it as if you're ~so beyond pitchfork~ and so ~independent~ when your flat-out hatred of the site is as one-sided, baseless, and blind as the people who recite Pitchfork scores as evidence for an album being good/bad. You're pissed at an entire news/reviews source for a couple of reviews you disagree with, which is completely illogical; you have yet to actually give some sort of actual reason for why Pitchfork is a bad site/resource for music. I could give better examples of Pitchfork's faults.

I am f***ed off with the reviews section of the site (for more than "a couple of reviews") but nowhere have I stated that the resources section is a waste of space and in fact regularly use it (along with a lot of other sites). What I have a problem with is the seeming arrogance that the site has revelling in its role as an arbiter of taste (this is a problem that it shares with NME, which I also use as a resource for news and information, but I don't go on about them maybe because I have been bitching for years about some of the crap that publication comes out with.) Obviously I need to be more pinpoint exact for you.

And I think I am right that I have mentioned Pitchfork in two threads. Hardly going on about it.

Let's stop the bickering and listen to Suicide Demo for Kara Walker. We'll all feel much better.

That's fair enough. You listen to that and I'll listen to Braids and we'll all be happy.
