Phew! Glad X-Factor won that one. It would have been a bit of a crime if that or BGT didn't win in a category that DOI and SCD shouldn't even have been eligible.

X Factor was of course always going to win but it should've really been Strictly. Shame it has the weaker concept of the two shows because the execution is so much better. It's a joy to watch.

This. Although I do think the concept behind Strictly is still a very good concept.

I understand why people like strictly but it never clicked with me, im not a great fan of britains got talent either, dancing on ice i have warmed to but the x factor does it for all the time, although big brother is the ultimate reality style show for me.

But really - X-F and BGT were the only true 'talent' shows. Sure - the other two (as much as I love DOI) are just vehicles for already working celebrities/sports stars to show of another 'skill'. Having said that I suppose if you did dismiss all these 'celebrity' vehicles - the ONLY two nominations would be X-F and BGT.

I'm truly glad SCD didn't win.

I find Bruce very annoying personally, but I guess he does deserve an award so I'm glad for him ^_^

I can't say I'm surprised at Doctor Who not winning, it just hasn't been up to standard, It wouldn't have been right that Matt beat David Jason, as he just isn't as good :(

and XF winning- well it was expected wasn't it? as blatantly fixed and see-through as it is, I do always enjoy watching it :( :P

The look on the corrie cast faces is truly priceless.

Corrie won when it was eastenders 25th anniversary and now eastenders got it for corries 50th.

Brilliant night for eastenders, 3 awards in total.

I'm sorry but I would have loved Corrie to win this, everybody who I know thought Corries was brilliant this year, especially the amazing Tram Crash week!

outside the tram crash and anniversary week it hasnt been great, they put all their effort into the anniversary week and as a result many other weeks suffered.

:yahoo: :w00t:  :cheer: EASTENDERS WINS!! and  at Davis Platt's face

Corrie had a good year as well in their defence, but the EE specials still were even more amazing :D

overall, a decent night- all winners deserved except Benidorm imo <_<

brilliant results for me overall my main disapointment was shameless didnt win but outside of that nearly every other winner i had voted for.

And Eastenders has?

I knew Eastenders would win and throughout the year it has had its moments (probably more than Corrie) so I'm not too bothered about that. I'm also glad Lacey won for her role as Stacey. I'm really disappointed at that fatboy fella though (I'm sorry Pete but he was just frigging dire!)

Glad for Brucie - but the time it took for them to actually get over the speeches, show clips, and finally give him his award - I thought he'd probably die! I love Stephen Fry but my god he doesn't half go on!

I think Corrie will win big at the Bafta's this year though. And - as everyone says when Take That win an award at The Brits - publicly voted for awards don't really mean anything. And - if you don't believe me that that is the general feeling - go back and look at some of the old Brits threads here on BJ.
