You can only shrug your shoulders and roll your eyes when possibly soap's most annoying character ever ~(Ricky Norwood's) wins ANY award - a truly, truly abysmal actor - and a completely superfluous character.

Thank heaven's someone else sees what a totallly useless actor Norwood is. I thought it was just me! I'll bet outside of EE - this guy never gets work again (well he may get a cereal or a yoghurt commercial.)

Plus - Danny Miller, for the second year in a row, was completely robbed. Lacey Turner? Ahem.....

I'd have liked Danny to get the award - but we all knew it was going to be Turner who won. Lacey is good in the role of Stacey and to be fair deserved it. As long as she's playing Stacey (in or out of EE) then she'll do well.

I loved David Platt looking appalled and shaking his head when EE won the top award - he was mirroring what I was doing at that moment.

Jack (David) did say that it was for the cameras - as he and Craig (sat next to him) were waiting for the camera to pan across the Corrie cast when EE won. Even if he was serious though - he did mirror the minds of a lot of people.

It is only an awards show though - an excuse for people to pat each other on the back. It isn't as if they're going to decommission Corrie because they didn't win. I'll bet the EE cast would trade in their awards to be on the (deserved) salaries that most of the Corrie cast is on.

Now you and I should depart this thread quickly - before the EE Mafia take hold and tear us to pieces! You're not allowed to say bad things about EE here!

Congrats again to Benidorm!

Because you know the intimate details of both the Corrie and EE casts' salaries, Kathy, I'm sure!

I thought most people did - they were made public a few years back much to their annoyance.....

How is EastEnders on too often? It's got the least episodes of the four major soaps a which...:manson:

If you tot up the weekly number of minutes produced by the big soaps though EastEnders (28 mins x 4 = 112 mins) does make more than Corrie (21 x 5 = 105). Emmerdale makes more still though at about 126 minutes.

YES I LIKE STATS.

:o :o :o Bloody hell - you're right. I must say - I'm shocked and amazed. I thought most actors on a commercial channel were paid more than their BBC counterparts. I'm sure salaries weren't that high in the days prior to Babs! If I were the cast of Corrie - I'd go on strike!
