Just gonna pretend that Fear and Loathing is the lead single and Radioactive is actually on the album. Hope Primadonna is a one-off (although i am highly doubtful)

It's alright, sounds a bit messy though like a lot of popular songs merged into one. And yeah I can't hear any real hook or chorus in it either ... maybe it'll grow but 'Radioactive' was much stronger on the first couple of listens.

It's got huge chunks of Katy Perry in it but I like it more than Radioactive.

 

edit - it just clicked. It's great - the down, down, down - crown, crown crown is still very Katy Perry.

Not sure I like the new sound as much as I liked the sound of her first album, but there's no denying that Primadonna is INSANELY infectious!

Here lies an example of an absolutely fantastic pop song with the most abstract of formats. I have contracted myself: here lies a song with one long chorus.

 

Phenomenal in the bestest of senses. Hurrah!!

Yeah it's really grown on me, I adore the production on it and I think her voice really suits it. Maybe in time I could even prefer it to 'Radioactive'!

I think I'd prefer it without the electro- side chain compression bit. It's much better than Radioactive, in my opinion.

She is just so beautiful. Primadonna is great.

That acoustic performance of Primadonna has really made it click with me. Still not as good as the rest of the stuff so far but not as terrible as I first thought.

 

Suddenly really looking forward to this album.

Plus it makes me fall with "Radioactive" all over again.

People saying it's better than Katy Perry's songs are insane (or just hating Katy). But then again, why should Dr. Luke give his best production to Marina, he's not getting much money from there.

 

Marina's glory days seems to be over as the album will be lucky to go top 20 (just my prediction obviously). Hopefully there'll still be some decent music by her in future though.

LOVING all the material I've heard from this Era so far. I really liked her last album but this seems much more up my street. Primadonna is perfection imo. And she looks bloody amazing in the video!

Teenage Dream is an atrocious album bar E.T. and Firework. Part of Me is also all kinds of awful, I still can't quite fathom how she is so successful with such average/poor songs, especially in America. ANYWAY I don't think its right to compare Marina to the Perry, they'll never command the same level of attention, sadly.
