'We want the song to chart as a single, but it's not an "official" second single... '

'It's the new radio focus track! Sent to Irish radio for plays and download on iTunes!'

@SonyMusicIre

Not sure if the same will happen in the UK. SonyMusicIre have said that there might be another official single but they aren't any plans atm.

It's my favourite song off the album, you can hear it here (along with my fan made video so don't be too harsh ;) )

It hope it does manage to go top 40 in Ireland, it'll be much harder for Westlife to achieve that in the UK (Presuming that it will go to radio in the UK).

Nicky just said there will be no more second single! Its Syco's decision and out of their hands

Very good Syco! They should really get out of Simon's hands asap

Shock horror! He doesn't want them to lose their top ten streak no doubt. Seems mad to me as it would at the very least give them an extra few album sales...

safe just crept in to number 10 by the skin of its teeth, surely they must realise that the lead single from their next album might not make top 10 at all?

stark contrast to Take That who have had the fastest selling album of the century and are already writing more tracks to release another single.....its a shame, Take that Boyzone and Westlife were the main boybands and now Take That are the only ones who are still producing the goods and getting the sales across the UK and Europe

i hate to say it but i fear Simon Cowell is looking to one direction to take over from westlife and will just keep westlife for a top 5 xmas album every year and a top 10 lead single

better say your opinion on the song than blaming westlife lads. . .

I actually feel sorry for them that they must put in a lot of effort towards the album and never really get the chance to showcase it by releasing/promoting more singles etc..

I feel as if they release an album every Winter, perform on X Factor and then dissapear for another year

Sad that it seems it has now become more about getting Top 10 Singles

I feel sorry for them too especially after the daily star interview inwhich they said they really didn't want to just be a one single and performance on x=factor sort of act and they wanted album capaigns like that of P!nk & Pixie Lott who release lots of singles. I hope they leave SyCo, even Sony all together. Kian works with Mercury because of Wonderland I hope that might be an advantage, I really think Mercury would be perfect for Westlife. They're a brilliant group, strong vocals, amazing personalities, fun upbeat tours, and strong songs. It's just their marketing is so wrong. I'm a big fan but I don't enjoy their tv performances or even their singles, but album tracks and their tours are just so good I wish it was showcased better.
This is bloody awful. I Will Reach You and Beautiful Tonight would have been brill follow ups. I think Simon could be in bother because after that interview I doubt they will stay with Syco as they did say their contract was up and would be looking at options. its a shame,. they really need to get out

i doubt they will leave Syco, at the end of the day they are still selling 300-500k a year with single and album together plus the tour ticket sales arent too bad at all

plus imagine if westlife didnt have the x factor exposure to promote the single and album..where would the album and single have charted? they wouldnt leave Simon Cowell purely because he gives them the opportunity to promote the new material to 15 million people once a year...

maybe they need to go back down the route of covering a song like Ellie Goulding, it turned out quite nicely for her and although westlife dont want to be a cover bad anymore it could get them back on the road of selling a nice 200k+ copies of a single, perhaps followed by an original song with the album following a week later......could be an idea and that way we would get 2 singles!! :D

They still have another year contract with Syco. . . Do u think Westlife will still go on after the next year???

I think people should watch this:

I deffinely get the impression they want to release more singles and they're prepared to leave their record company to have that.

And they deffinely SHOULDN'T use a cover to get back up there. It helps them in the short term, but it's ruined them in the long term. No one takes them seriously and it just angers the fans.

Wooooh They are taking themselves far to seriously there, anybody would think they were a real band instead of just a money making bussiness.

They're hardly taking themselves too seriously when all they are saying is they want to release more songs which presumably every artist does 'manufactured' or not.

Do people not think that Westlife are simply not relevant to the music industry anymore? The only reason why 'What About Now' did so well initially was because the original by Daughtry was being heavily used on The X Factor during the audition stages. Then Westlife recorded their version using the exact same backing track to fool the naive British public.

Like Electro Paradise has rightly pointed out, nobody takes Westlife seriously. Apart from the loyal fans, ordinary music lovers just don't see any appeal in Westlife whatsoever.

Eventually Westlife will either grab that #11 smash (like Girls Aloud). Or won't release singles in future, just albums and have all the album tracks "album only" so people can't cherry pick them to get them a UK #24 hit. It's sad, pointless and typically Syco. (and personally I think it's absolutely fabulous!!!)
