February 8, 201114 yr Quite. To say Anastacia isn't at least partially responsible for her demise is RIDICULOUS. This will no doubt be an unpopular opinion, but even had she released Defeated or Heavy Rotation instead of I Can Feel You, she'd have STILL bombed, because the basic fact is that NONE of the material from that album came even CLOSE to the likes of Left Outside Alone or I'm Outta Love. And sadly for her, Anastacia was NEVER one of those huge megastars (like say Britney) who could be assured of a hit no matter what $h!t they dribbled out. The whole thing was doomed from the beginning. And unless you're going to argue that Anastacia is a complete pop industry puppet who only sang what she was told to sing, then she IS accountable. She must have known ICFY was a STINKER. And lest we forget, it wasn't JUST the APPALLING record that buried her, but also the lies about her age, the GROTESQUE plastic surgery, and the suicidal admission that she hated music that also killed of any credibility the woman may once have had. And you CAN'T blame the record company for any of THAT. She was her own PR disaster. Just to say, she did NOT SAY she hated music. The press made it up. She even wrote a blog about it!
February 8, 201114 yr ICFY was an atrocious first single indeed, the song isnt even album worthy imo. I did like a few of the tracks like the wonderful You'll Be Fine, but overall the album was bad. I do think "sprock" Anastacia is a bit overrated, as good as she is. I prefer her "Freak Of Nature" sound, the singles from that album were all brilliant.

'Anastacia' is still my fave record of all time. It has EVERYTHING. It's personal, accessible, catchy, and the production was fantastic on most tracks. There's not a single song I would skip on that record. VERY strong.
February 10, 201114 yr Indeed, it was a fabulous album. But I prefered the singles from Freak Of Nature, "One Day In Your Life", "Paid My Dues" and "You'll Never Be Alone" were all amazing. I didnt care for "Sick & Tired", "Welcome To My Truth" or "Heavy On My Heart".
February 13, 201114 yr It was an excellent choice, I just didnt care much for it, I did like it though.
March 27, 201114 yr Nope. lmao!! what a firm answer you make me laugh Edited March 27, 201114 yr by Dino-2pacalypse
June 22, 201114 yr Probably not. I like her to be successful again in the UK, I don't see that happening
July 12, 201113 yr I think she could be, all she needs is the right material, anastacia has had some major success in her time so i wouldnt write her off just yet. Back in the late 90's kylie was almost completly written off as a has been and look how she turned it around, so anything is possible. Also look at take that who would have ever thought they would comeback and be bigger than ever before,.
July 14, 201113 yr If the public knew about her latest music and didn't care, then I'd say she has less of a chance. But nobody knows about her anymore... She just needs the right music and exposure.
July 23, 201113 yr exactly! I can't wait to hear the single...this should be interesting to see how it turns out.
