Razorlight 'America'
Chasing Cars out first in a poll containing Cascada, Infernal, Meck, Akon and sodding CHICO?! Bray, you are failing.

I have voted for the most awful song on the list, "It's Chico Time" by the Wagner/Jedward of 2006, Chico!

But there's so many more awful songs such as "That's My Goal", "A Moment Like This", "Monster", I could go on

Early win prediction: Lily Allen, Rihanna, Christina Aguleria, Shakira or Beyonce could easilly win this. Unpredictable as yet

My Chemical Romance - Welcome to the Black Parade

Please don't let Rihanna win guyz. SOS is frankly $h!t. Or the subpar Girls Aloud single.

EDIT: Oh noes! I just noticed Unfaithful is on there too. Should have voted for it instead :( Ah well, next round.

"Something Kinda Ooooo" is one of the worst things they've ever done. "SOS" is not $h!t, and "Unfaithful" is an amazing ballard. Buzzjack don't let Rihanna get another 2nd placing peak.

2008 - 2nd Rihanna "Disturbia"

2007 - 2nd Rihanna ft Jay Z "Umbrella"

RIHANNA 2 WIN!

hmmm, not a bad list- I've gone with Akon- Smack That, its frankly vile :puke2:

I truly adore two songs here- MCR and Snow Patrol- I know CC will be out soon, so I'm not holding on hope for that- so I really hope MCR can get top 20, although its about as anti-BJ as you can get so I'm not sure it will get that far :(

What was the point of Chasing Cars being here anyway? It should have been kicked out and the #41 should have been let in (which, just checking now, was Chamillionaire - Ridin' which would have FLOPPED HARD on BJ [despite it being amazing] but that's besides the point).
I'm torn between a few of these but I'm going to go with Chico I think. Considering how brilliant the 2007 list mostly was, this is quite $h!t in comparisment. I also have a very bad feeling I'm going to end up voting to eliminate Promiscous for sodding WEEKS.

If you think there's so much anti BJ songs on this list, I've just seen 2005 which has the likes of Tony Christie, Crazy Frog, James Blunt, McFly, Akon, Westlife, 2Pac, Will Smith, Snoop Dogg, Mario, Nelly, Sean Paul, 50 Cent, Kayne West, MVP, Black Eyed Peas, Gorrilaz, all that are hated by BJ

Other songs have been in the top 40 of both years so I dont see why Chasing Cars should be an exception

To be honest I didn't even notice it before but you're right! Sex On Fire was in 2008 and 2009.

Maybe from now on you could take them out though? It seems silly to leave them in for two years in a row when you could give a couple of other songs a chance. To be honest I wouldn't object to Snow Patrol and Take That both being taken out of this game and replaced in the next round but I guess since it's already started it's probably not exactly fair. Maybe for the rest of the years it could be done though? Like I think Nizlopi and Shayne Ward are in the 2005 top 40, too, so they can be removed from that one as they're already being put up here in 2006...

I totally understand what you mean but just because a song may not do well in one year against some songs, doesnt mean it wont do better in the other year against other songs. And since its the top 40 sellers of the year I think its only right they get to be in both years

I agree. If only for the sake of consistency.
