perhaps the comic relief single will be different altogether now that Kidz have been moved forward a week, perhaps it will indeed be a new song so they have moved Kidz forward to give themselves a month in between releases (whether it will be a track off Progress, a new track or a cover remains to be seen)

So it's now out on the 21st? This single's all over the place

Apparently they are now in Bulgaria shooting the video. Isn't it too late for a good editing?

Oh dear, why they should always do nothing right about the promotion for the singles i love? The artwork of the cover is plain awful, the release date is now 21 february. At least we will have a b-side! I might end buying it if the b-side is good

The artwork for both Progress singles has been crap. We want some cool new photographs!

yeah you're so right! i havent even heard the single on the radio yet, just hope this song goes top 10, it definately deserves it as its one of the best they have ever written

Latest on this - it looks like there WILL be another song for CR so it could just be a cover. If it is Take That doing it - I'm sure it'll be a cover of one of their own hits ... and may tie in with the David Walliams thing.

So! Take That could have TWO songs in the top ten in the next few weeks!

really? it does make sense now they have moved the release forward and given themselves a month between Kidz and comic relief....question is what could it be? I hope it has nothing to do with Walliams' Fake That, just thinking about the result of that sounds horrible lol

I think it might be (but my god ... they're keeping us guessing!) If its done in a totally, 110% comic way (and with a bloody good/funny video to match) then it will be acceptable. To be honest - I'm glad that Kidz may not be the official CR song - as I want to see it chart highly on its own merits as opposed to it being a 'charity' song. I still think its good enough to get to Number 1.

Its definately one, if not the best song on the album but as hopeful as i am for it to go at least top 10 im not too sure, it will have serious competition from gaga and the jls song whilst the promotion and radio play are pretty much non existent again....At least if it was the comic relief anthem it would go top 5 at a minimum and be promoted constantly to 8million people on the night and throughout the week, i agree completely with wanting it to chart high on its own merit but with the sales of the album im not sure it will....it would be a real shame to see it stumble into the charts at mid 20's cos it really is one of their best singles

I think kidz stands a good chance of going top 10 but it needs more radio suuport to help it aswell, again take that singles are hard to predict as they are now mainly an albums act where as first time round it was almost a guarantee anything they released would go number 1 in the singles chart, at worst though kidz should go top 15 but my gut feeling is it will make the top 10.

Im happy kidz isnt the comic relief single as it means we are getting something new from them whether its a cover or not and having 2 singles out so near each other certainly wont harm album sales either, i can also see the comic relief song been part of the rumoured progress deluxe release which is rumoured to be coming later in the year.

its funny cos the song is on the radio 1 b playlist and i havent heard it once :/

as much as i hate to think of a Fake That collaboration i think Kath could be on to something with the single being something to do with them. the ideal scenario would be a new single altogether but im not sure they will purely because there are alot of people releasing songs during the next couple of months and when they release a brand new song im sure they will be wanting to ensure it goes number 1 rather than chance it against the second week sales of gaga or something like they did with rule the world and the flood.

if they do release a single from the deluxe progress it will have to be before the tour starts wont it? i mean theres no point in releasing a song in october/november time like rule the world cos the tour will be over, so around May/June?

Ya the fake that thing could well be whats happening but i hope not! but i agree kath could be on to something there.

A new single now could do well as its not of the album and mixed with it been comic relief should do quite well, so in view of the deluxe i think they will do another single of progress around may and then between that and the tour etc will keep the album selling, IF the deluxe rumour is true i think they would then release a new song again around november to promote the deluxe and take advanatge of the christmas market, if it happens and they come up with good single to promote the deluxe mixed with christmas sales progress in total could potentially do 3 million in the UK, but as i said thats is alot of IFS!!

Yeahh you're right, the deluxe thing makes sense i just hope in an ideal world that they use Kidz as the comic relief single (just to make sure it does do well in the charts) and then Fake That sing some kind of medley with Never Forget being the last track on that medley and Take That join in with them for that song and that is it lol

The WantedMusicThe Wanted have been announced as the performers of this year's Comic Relief fundraising single.

'Gold Forever' will be available from March 13 for digital download and will hit the shelves on CD the following day.

Written by Steve Mac, Wayne Hector and Claude Kelly, the track has been described as "a ballad to rave to".

Singer Max George said: "This song is about a day in your life that you never forget. It's an upbeat, feel-good track and our favourite so far. We're really excited to get it out there, and delighted that it is supporting such a great cause."

Jay McGuiness added: "We're in a position where we can contribute to Comic Relief. We grew up watching it as kids and to be involved is crazy but an absolute honour. We hope we do everyone proud."

George, McGuiness and bandmates Siva Kaneswaran, Tom Parker and Nathan Sykes join past acts such as The Spice Girls, McFly, Girls Aloud and Sugababes on the roster of popstars that have recorded singles for the charity.

The Wanted will perform 'Gold Forever' on Comic Relief: Funny For Money on Red Nose Day, Friday, March 18 at 8pm on BBC One.

So now it's not TT at all. Weird.

I did say that it was all speculative - sorry if I've built up people's hopes. I was hoping that it was true (although I wasn't too keen on Kidz being used) and hoped that TT would do some sort of funny song (even a cover) with David Walliams and his Fake That thing.
