ALBUM DATE: TBC 2011.

CONFIRMED TRACKS: ''NOT RIGHT NOW''

Joe Jonas has revealed that his upcoming solo album is influenced by dance music.

The singer, who is working on his first record away from sibling trio Jonas Brothers, said the LP is inspired by the European electro scene, includingDaft Punk and Frankmusik.

Discussing the DJs, he told MTV: "I love their music. There's a guy, called Frankmusik, out of London. A lot of electro DJs out in Europe are doing some cool stuff right now.

"I just listen to a bunch of stuff you dance to, kind of electro-based. A lot of stuff that's so amazing [that] you can create on the computer."

The star also revealed that he is working with producer Danja on the LP, who has previously worked with Britney Spears, Bjork and Nelly Furtado.

He explained: "To be able to go on a musical journey for a while and finally with finding Danja and working with him, we've been able to collaborate on something that really works for me.

"And to find me and not try to mold it into something it's not, to try and be myself and my music and kind of tell stories and be honest and just have something. When people hear it, hopefully they'll be able to dance to it and have a good time."

Frankmusik interview on Joe:

He’s such a f***ing cool dude, they all get such a bad rep and I don’t know how they stay so cool. I know some people who haven’t even got a fraction of their success and they’re the nicest people, I’ve hung out with like nobodies who are complete arseholes but those guys are so humble and don’t let any of the negativity get to them. It’s amazing; you can’t deny that that’s pretty awesome.

Kazemi: That’s pretty sick.

Frankmusik: He’s f***ing awesome.

Kazemi: So how does inspiration differ when you’re writing for yourself and when you’re writing for someone else?

Frankmusik: Well, I mean, it was inspiring working with Joe because everyone else on the planet is just waiting for what he’s gonna do next. So I need to do something that’s just to f*** with people. It’s not like I’m working with someone that’s known as an electronic artist or someone like that. This guy is pop through and through, it was so great, and it would literally be like “hey, I’ve got a beat.” “Oh I love it, I’ve already written something.” “Great that’s awesome, let’s just change this and then record it.” So that’s what it would be like with him because he’s a proper musician. He literally sings better then anyone I’ve had in my studio apart from Ellie Goulding, I mean she’s epic.
