Yeah, I still enjoy listening to 'Not In Love' as its a great track. I reckon this should stick around the top 20 for a couple more weeks.

For me, I Blame Coco's best single to date was 'Caesar' and it had nothing to do with Robyn's involvement. I thought it was a solid pop moment. However, 'Self Machine' has been her second most successful single in my chart. As for UK chart success, the UK music buying public are either simply not interested, or just unaware that I Blame Coco even exsists (I'm thinking the latter). If one of her tracks ended up being used in a TV commercial/programme, that'd raise awareness and surely make people more interested in I Blame Coco's music.

Oh yes, with Sharon Den Adel they defined the Euphoric synth/goth rock sound from the early 00s which led the way for Nightwish who also have scored several top 20 hits in my chart.

Sadly not I'm afraid. Then again, I had said all along that whilst I liked 'On My Own', I didn't love it to the point of having it #1 for endless weeks.

 

39 (--) Glasvegas - Euphoria, Take My Hand (39) [1 wk] I only heard this last week when someone posted the track in a chart topic, and clicked with me straight away after a few listens. Not bad at all.

 

This song had the potential to be so much better imo and would've definitely charted higher. The one thing that let the song down for me was James Allen's perhaps overemotional vocals at times during the song. He just sounds to me like he's trying too hard to be emotional and it just doesn't work in the way it does on tracks like 'Daddy's Gone' and 'Geraldine' - both of which made my top 10 in comparison.

Me too. The very first time I heard 'Champion' I thought "what is this crap? :manson: " and it was purely based on Chris Brown's awful wailings in the introduction. I find it funny when others post comments like "OMGZ, champion is da best, chris brown sounds soooo gud". I think "just...no!!!". :D

Indeed. Who'd have thought this a year ago when everyone was predicting 'Pass Out' to be a UK #1 contender (except me who predicted low top 20!!! :lol: ). Have to admit, 'Written In The Stars' was definitely a major turning point but I realised that was down to Labrinth as he produced 'Pass Out' and 'Frisky', both of which just didn't impact me whatsoever when I first heard them. Admittedly, I like 'Pass Out' more now than I did a year ago.

 

16 (--) Wynter Gordon - Dirty Talk (16) [1 wk] Weird that this has had no promo in the UK but is a #1 in Australia :o

 

There's probably been other hits that have been no. 1 in Australia that seemed like they would have the potential to crossover to the UK but ultimately bomb. This is Wynter Gordon's first top 20 hit in my chart. It's not that bad but I don't think it's brilliant - it's quite surprising that a song like this has done so well in Australia.

 

22 (--) Eric Prydz - Niton (The Reason) (22) [1 wk] Nowhere near as good as Pjanoo, no surprise to see it flop although I didn't quite expect it not to make the top 40!

 

Yeah, this is Eric Prydz lowest charting single for me. The male vocals sound slightly bored and tired as if the singer isn't even remotely interested in what he's singing. 'Pjanoo' has been Eric Prydz's biggest hit in my chart to date topping my chart for two weeks, followed by 'Call On Me' (#5) and 'Proper Education' (#11).
