Posted July 25, 200618 yr The Who - Wire and Glass http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/1702801.JPG "Long-awaited" simply doesn't do it justice. This new taster from the first Who album in almost 23 years (that's longer than Arctic Monkey Alex Turner has been alive!) is an 11-minute epic, six songs (from a group of ten to be included in full on The Who's album to be released in October 2006) that comprise the principle music composed so far for the novella 'The Boy Who Heard Music'. It is, as you might expect, a record that is unmistakably The Who and yet at the same time sounds amazingly contemporary. It's as if The Who have listened to all the new bands whom they have inspired, and then written new material that simply raises the bar. -HMV UK Release date: 24-7-2006 track listing * 1.
