I have a horrible feeling that her new single and album will flop :(.

I think it'll all depend on promotion and the quality of the new material (which I'm sure will be great). I'm optimistic that she'll get at least another top 10 single and album :D Will Diana be doing the on air/on sale release? I hope not!

If she is, there is no hope. She really needs the promotion she so badly needed last era. A low selling number 1, a lower end top 40 flop, and a top twenty single that had a one off promotion, which ended up selling less than the lower top 40 flop. Plus a low selling album. It is really sad, seeing this fantastic popster with so much potential flopping :(. And the album was great as well :(. I really wish I shared your optimism :(. Although I am sure the new material will be great ^_^.

So it's like of fthe back of one moderate hit she got 130,000 sales, and it went wrong because of management and they must know it. Had TBWML been released before the album she'd have been rolling in it, because it would have been huge imo. Then MWH just shouldn't have happened. They were fools for not release YNGTH in the first place.

Maybe. but the album did quite poorly IMO, considering she had a number 1 hit to back it up, and she is on a major label. She was never really handled properly. TBWML was too similar to Once, they should not have released it. They should have released YNGTH like you said, and perhaps Notice or NUMB. MWH was a good choice actually, but the x factor was the only promotion it had, it was snubbed by the radio and the music channels :(. Perhaps there is still hope after all if they do not make the same mistakes.

as much as I love Diana, she'll need something truly special (and with Radio 1 support) to get even a top 10 placing, plus more promo and no on-air-on-sale release, MWH could only scrape the top 15 even with an XF performance, that said, that was the only time I heard it anywhere- promotion is important

Ignore all this about the album not being ready, its been ready for three months. They just dont wanna invest in Diana just yet.BECAUSE OF POOR ALBUM SALES!! - durhh its pretty obvious and thats why they are doing all this dumb diana wednesday thing to try and keep fans waiting. And all this crap about her being in the studio, its not for the UK album.. its for the U.S album!! - Which is gonna be released in 2012, ( if shes still around) & Diana will re-release the second album with the new songs which will appear on her first album in the U.S

 

Have to say though, pretty good album.

 

I have no idea on the reliability of this, but I thought I would post just to let you know :) Sounds exciting, and I hope we'll get official news soon.

I think those song titles sound rather awful(cheesy pop songs=massive failure nowadays), so I hope it is not true. Thanks for updating us though :).

I really hope this does well even if it's not that good, just because Songs... deserved to do so much better, You'll Never Get To Heaven Should have been released and she should have waited for X Factor.

I've tweeted Diana and Annecka (her manager) about it. Hopefully I'll get a reply but I doubt it - but Annecka has responded to previous rumours before so you never know :)

I wonder if they could milk Songs... some more? I mean, Jumping Into Rivers would be perfect for summer :cry:.

Coco Girl

"You'll Never Get To Heaven" was a wasted opportunity.

 

I don't see any truth in "Coco Girl".

Her second album could go either way. Her first album didn't sell that well, but as far as the majority of the general public are concerned, she had a number one single and album, and is one of the X Factor success stories. She did a few Summer festivals last year and went down well at them.

 

If she gets the right material, and they get the promotion right, radio and tv should be receptive to supporting her. They need to make sure they release when there isn't too much competition, and get her out there, showcasing herself at the festivals and Party in the Park events. They need to treat her as if she didn't come from X Factor and is someone who had a moderately successful first album, but who is essentially still a new artist to most.

The paragraph below the track-list is making me think it sounds false. & the track-list has titles that sound like recent songs, but with one or two words changed ('Tick Tock', 'Love The Way You Love Me').

Love Diana loads but if Coco Girl is the name, I won't buy it haha.

I don't understand why an album title is so important anyway. It could be called 'Winnie The Pooh' and I'd still buy it because, at the end of the day, its all about the music. :|
