She has a fantastic chance to make a big comeback. We need artists like DV in the charts. Her musical style has changed since the debut album and she has matured so much too as has her voice. Her first LP did not appeal to everyone but the new material certainly has something for everyone. I dragged a friend along with me to her gig in July and lets just say, she was not keen on Diana Vickers before the show but afterwards... She now loves her! Totally won over. Also, when she was supporting Olly Murs' tour recently and playing alongside Pixie, many people preferred Diana to her and raved about the new songs, particularly ''Boy In Paris'' and that is not even the best we've heard. She could potentially be very successful.

There was quite a bit of hype for Vickers earlier this year when she premiered "Music". That would have been the time to put the album (or even an EP) out.

I'm really liking the positivity, and there is always a chance she can be successful again - like Doug says, the film could be great promo if it takes off! As long as we get the album, I'll be happy - and I'm sure we will! I do really hope she can be successful though, she so deserves it! :wub:

Artists can take years between albums, and fans who expect an album every year or two annoy me, because it doesn't or shouldn't happen like that.

Yes you praised the material, as you should! Because it is brilliant. You are nothing but negative when it comes to discussing this album and you know it. Look at some of the rest of us, we are happy to wait patiently for the album as we have faith in her that it will see a release.

 

And yes, many of the new songs have the presence of Electro-Pop but it is far from the so-called electro sound from the first album that you are talking about. It is still very different. She has worked harder than any other X-Factor contestant to get where she is and I'm sure that all of her ''real'' fans will appreciate her new album when it is released. Fair enough. Like you said... All a matter of opinion. I never said it was ''massively'' different in style but that it is a more mature sound and she has worked harder than the others! Being dropped or leaving RCA, whichever way it went, she has not let that throw her off and she is still trying so hard to make a career for herself. I reckon the album will drop pretty soon (Early 2013) but again, this is my personal opinion just so we are clear.

that's not very fair billy, my criticisms of her are the same as urs. i am a fan of diana - ive supported her since x factor days. but im not blind and i'll call her on it when shes being unfair. personally i think thats better and a lot more healthy than this "positivity" the vickerites speak of, which is rlly just a jazzed up version of a stan who's idol can do no wrong.

im not negative about the album content, im negative about the crap surrounding it. i really dont care about the rest of "us" - im not going to change my opinion to please the majority.

She has said on Facebook that she has only got a small part, but what is wrong with that? It's still a great experience for Diana!

 

Heres the trailer for a film I featured in thats out next year. Its just a small part but it was my first ever film which i'm really excited about and it was such a wonderful experience, i loved Cape Town.

A new Diana song named 'Bright Eyes' has leaked! It's a fantastic song as always from Diana! So unique and gives me a small hint of the amazing 'In The End' by Orion! :wub:

 

 

Also, someone on another forum seems to think the album is scheduled for a March 2013 release, but I have no idea where that data has come from!
