April 22, 201312 yr Author Diana has been confirmed to be performing at the T in the Park festival in July! Hopefully this means she will be doing quite a few festivals like V Festival and T4 on the Beach! http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/news/a47...-park-2013.html
April 22, 201312 yr I dunno about T4 on the Beach given Channel 4 finished T4 last year...begs the question of what they'll call it now or if they bring it back as '4Music on the Beach' or something like that. She's supporting Olly Murs at his Peterborough show in June which I'm going to. She was wicked at his Hylands show last year so I'm looking forward to seeing her again - the single sounds great too!
April 22, 201312 yr Author Ah good point about T4 on the Beach I forgot that had finished on Channel 4! I do think you are right and they'll bring it back as 4music on the Beach or something similar though. Have a great time! The Peterborough line-up sounds amazing, Tich and Stooshe as well as Diana and Olly if I remember correctly!

April 22, 201312 yr Author I've heard of Ed but never heard any of his songs, will have to check some out on YouTube! Also, Annecka from Diana's management team tweeted this earlier: so we here at Modest HQ (all five of us that are actually in the office) are having a @DianaVickers album listening party and it is AWESOME. :cheer: So exciting!!!
May 30, 201312 yr Author Diana has been confirmed to play at this summer's V Festival. She has already been confirmed for T In The Park too! Great to see she is going to be at lots of festivals again it seems! :D
June 3, 201312 yr Author From what I have gathered, Diana performed the following songs in Peterborough yesterday: Once Cinderella Music To Make Boys Cry Mad At Me Love Sounds Better In French (sounds very different to previous live videos) La La La (Naughty Boy cover) Erase & Rewind (Cardigans cover) I'm just watching through them now on YouTube! :D
June 3, 201312 yr She did indeed do all of those songs - very good they were too! I especially loved the Cardigans cover. 'Mad at Me' sounds like a demented version of the theme tune from 'Bump' (in a good way).
June 3, 201312 yr No "Boy Who Murdered Love"?! She's probably resentful of it for cutting her career so short. That Cardigans song is a total classic, nice to see she has good taste in music.

I remember you saying you were going, glad you enjoyed it! :D I love 'Mad At Me' from the YouTube videos I've seen from the last couple of years, she gets to use her trumpet like she did in 'My Hip' - don't know if she did yesterday though! :kink:

June 4, 201312 yr I've always associated 'The Boy Who Murdered Love' with Kelly Clarkson's 'I Do Not Hook Up'. Both songs are very commercial and are very similar to the songs they were follow-ups to, yet they both somehow could only muster a peak in the mid 30s despite being the "successors" of #1 singles. Both singles' misfortunes had me puzzled tbh. Edited June 4, 201312 yr by SceneofSIXCrimes
June 4, 201312 yr In hindsight, 'I Do Not Hook Up' is a very by the numbers Clarkson song and nothing that special at all. I think 'The Boy Who Murdered Love' is a great song, but I think the problem is she's just not generally well liked, they poured an insane amount of hype into 'Once' which propelled it to #1 fleetingly along with the album, but after that there was nothing to prop up her career. I saw her live and met her the week her album was #1, she was a star performer and a lovely girl too so it is a shame.
June 4, 201312 yr Author In an email I've just been sent from Diana, they have used the artwork previously seen on that photo that supposedly was of the album pre-order on iTunes when referring to the album - so it looks like that will be official artwork and it probably means that the iTunes photo was in fact true! :o The artwork I am referring to is this one below from that supposed photo of the pre-order on iTunes:
June 4, 201312 yr Oh wow! :o If that's true then it's a pretty fab tracklisting. Here's the image from the mailer: http://i.imgur.com/UOSlZ98.jpg
June 4, 201312 yr Author Yeah that's it! You can see the artwork above whenever "Music To Make Boys Cry" is mentioned, so I think it must be the artwork! Very happy if it is, I love it!
