That Scream My Name song that one of the fake posters was on about seems to be Example's new single - coincidence?

Anyway, Diana's doing a Facebook chat at 7pm tonight, so hopefully finally there will be a snippet of news - but that might just be hopeful. But she's recently tweeted that she's had meetings and studio sessions, one of which results in a 'massive hit' according to one of the people she was working with :) Also, all the Sony artist websites still seem to be down - it's been the best part of a month now :( Come back soon!

In the facebook Q&A she says the album won't be too long :cheer:, but she will be touring when the new album is out NEXT YEAR :nocheer:. That seems to contradict each other, maybe the album will be out this year, but won't tour till next year - at least I hope that's what she's saying!

I'm hoping single 1 - August, single 2 - November & Album(with X Factor), single 3 & tour - February :)

I think Olly had a similar schedule last year :)

People are saying on twitter diana has said the album wont be out until next year (2012)

She said the album won't be too long and that she will tour when the new album is out next year - which sort of contradicts each other :L

Maybe she'll release album during X factor and then tour January/Feb next year. I can't wait till next year!

Diana confirmed on her official tumblr that she is no longer with RCA. Kinda gutted as this album had a lot of potential to be a success :(

From Diana's blog:

yo guys! I just want to let you know what the crack is at the moment down in the vickers camp. Myself and RCA have decided to part company, purely based on a creative level. *I will always be really thankful for the time we’ve spent together and the support they’ve given me. But, I’ve grown up a lot since the first album and whilst the past couple years have been a lot of fun and a great success, I’m now ready to take a wander down a different, very exciting path! In order to grow, this change has to be made.

I’m so proud of where the second album is right now and I’m counting down the minutes until it’s all ready and you guys can finally hear it! *I’ve been having the best time over the past 6 months- being creative, working with so many inspirational people, falling in love with LA and growing as an artist.*

I just got back from the INCREDIBLE Arcade Fire gig at Hyde park they bloody rocked it. Up early for studio tomorrow so need my rest*! Love always to all my amazing fans. Diana xx

I get suspicious when i see the words "parted ways". It usually means the label are not happy and get rid of Artist. Diana wasn't really a money maker for Tained Cherry tree era and i am not suprised if she will be a money maker in the long run.
I hope one of the UMG labels pick her up. She's far more suited to Universal than Sony. Universal is more about longevity and nurturing, Sony is more about instant success imo.
I'm not too surprised really. Diana isn't really a mainstream artist and I fear RCA wanted her to be that.

I disagree I think Diana could easily have become a mainstream artist. The initial promotion for Once and the album were excellent and Diana was everywhere being treated like an A-list artist and the results were a No 1 single and album. The wheels started to come off with the Boy who Murdered Love-bland song and bland video. There were at least 4 or 5 songs that were really good singles like Youll Never Get to Heaven,Put it Back Together, Numb or Notice.I think her promotion seemed to stall and then depend on the X-factor which did not work.It would be good to see her with a label like Epic.

I really hope she's got a plan in place. It sounds as though RCA have let her keep the songs she's recorded which will put her in a strong position to negotiate a new record deal, and she has had many studio sessions even within the last week - so that sounds positive at least. The main thing is she has a good fan base and maybe an indie label will be good for her - it's done alright for Adele ;)

In other news, apparently she's on the front cover of the Sun's Buzz magazine tomorrow showcasing her Very range :cheer:
I think we'll get it early 2013.

I think it will be too risky for her to leave it as long as 2013.She needs to have an album out for early 2012 and to try and get a single out by the end of the year, so at least she can do X-factor promotion.

I'm rly rly gutted for her :( I think 'creative differences' is basically RCA not liking the stuff she had produced and therefore letting her keep it :/ Saying that they've always had a weird relationship as I know RCA fought against MyWicked Heart being released.. I hope she's got some sort of plan though, I can see her going into the acoustic genre that she was thought to go into after X Factor.

'Parted ways' in my opinion is nothing but a nice way of saying they dropped her.

Inevitable, and frankly I'm surprised it's taken this long. It started off really well for her but the follow-up singles flopped baddly, #36 for 'Boy Who Murdered Love' was just embarassing and 'My Wicked Heart' tailed off after only a passable peak.
