Posted July 25, 200619 yr Virgin.net Music news Richie's pop wish Nicole Richie is to follow in the footsteps of socialite pal Paris Hilton and launch a pop career. Nicole, who is the adopted daughter of famous soul singer Lionel Richie, says that she has already recorded six tracks and is well on the way to completing her first album. The 'Simple Life' star revealed to the Daily Record: "Right now I'm just writing and recording. The way that a record goes, you sing up to 20 or 30 songs and then pick your favourite 10. I'm about six songs in. "The songs are about what's going on in my life, growing up and becoming a woman. They are about realising what's great and what's so wonderful about life and being on this earth and living the way that I live." Nicole failed to reveal whether or not her dad has been giving her a helping hand with her career. Meanwhile, celebrity heiress Paris Hilton will release her debut album on August 22. Any comments please?
July 25, 200619 yr Nicole can sing and i have heard one of her singles and it is great.. she is only 6 songs in so it looks like we have a long wait until any schedule release news //i'd estimate over a year :( I hope she releases in the uk and soon :P

July 25, 200619 yr I heard a song by her called Dandelion and it was pretty good! :) Yeah, it's harmless and not really single-worthy, but it's pleasant enough and her voice isn't too bad :)

July 25, 200619 yr I agree, Nicole was ****ing hilarious on the Simple Life! Have all 3 series on DVD, and she especially shines on series 3! :wub:... Paris is just there, Nicole makes most of the humour :lol:
