My ratings of each match:

 

09.0 Edge ( c ) vs. Alberto Del Rio [Brilliant opening match however, why was there a World Heavyweight championship match OPENING Wrestlemania?! Particularly the one which involves the ROYAL RUMBLE winner! Alberto and Edge both shined in the match imo. Annoyed about the result though. I wanted Alberto to win, so bad! Hopefully it's not the last time we see these two face off.]

 

07.0 Rey Mysterio vs. Cody Rhodes [This was alright. A little boring and probably would have been better as the opening match. Although it probably wouldn't have worked as the opener as they need to get the crowd going and hyped up... I still feel we haven't seen the best of Cody Rhodes just yet. Maybe it's just coz they have him against Rey, who for some reason I can't stand much of.]

 

02.0 Show/Kane/Kofi/Santino vs. The Corre [The only saving grace to this $h!t was Santino. Most pointless match ever? :mellow: They took Bryan vs. Sheamus off (which was a championship match!!) for THIS crap? UGH <_<]

 

08.5 Randy Orton vs. CM Punk [What a great match! I'm actually shocked that it had quite as much tension and shock moments as it did. The ending was spectacular (everything from Orton wanting to do the punt - the tension and suspense was incredible imo) So much better than I had anticipated!]

 

04.0 Jerry 'The King' Lawler vs. Michael Cole [The hype around this match was excellent. I knew it was going to be an incredibly $h!t match, but it was alright for what it was. Nothing interesting bar the first 2 minutes or so, and whenever Stone Cold got involved. Booker sold the stunner very well though. Are they planning on making him a heel commentator? His voice will suit being a heel better than being a face. Muchlike JBL.]

 

10.0 The Undertaker vs. Triple H [WOW. Epic match. Undertaker really knows how to bring it at Wrestlemanias. Doesn't he? I'm sorry but this was excellent both guys were put to the test and both have proven they ARE capable of still doing some brilliant matches. He really should quite now, I'm worried for his health when he does put on awesome matches LOL. (Undertaker) I wish there was blood, however it was to be expected there wasn't going to be so no big loss.]

 

07.5 John Morrison & Brunette Mafia vs. Dolph Ziggler & LayCool [I enjoyed this, a lot more than I hoped too. :lol: Was a nice little match. Hope this isn't the end for LayCool though! I really do love them as a team :( (Even if it is because Layla's getting a push) Obviously Morrison vs Dolph would have been nice to see, but the interaction they did have was great, particularly Morrison's move to the outside! Snooki!! :o She was great at that handspring elbow!]

 

06.5 John Cena vs. The Miz ( c ) [For a championship, main event WM match, this was WEAK! It was boring and I'd have preferred Edge vs. Del Rio last but whatever. John Cena didn't do anything particularly new and I honestly thought it was over for The Miz after the F-U (f*** calling it the "Attitude Adjuster"! <_<) but I'm glad he kicked out and everything from then on in, was better than the actual match. Starting to warm to The Miz as champion now though. He's definitely deserved it.]

 

The Snoop segment was CRINGE! I did laugh at Zack Ryder performing 'Friday' though! LOL. Also, BETH :o She has a decent voice! The Rock meeting Stone Cold segment was brilliant. Little interaction, but it was epic!

 

Overall. It wasn't completely terrible, but the hype was definitely the best thing about WM this year.

Wrestlemania has recieved horrid reviews with people calling it an " abomination, worst wrestlemania ever " Am i the only one that thought it was good?

Poor Josh Matthews! :(

 

Gutted that Cole won by DQ... however, it's blatantly obvious he's the Raw GM now :lol:

EDIT: The promo for The Miz, before his match was incredible! I really, really loved it!

Last time i watched something like this was probably over ten years ago when channel 4 showed royal rhumble for free, and it really is shocking compared to then. Probably something to do with it going from a 15 to PG, still some parts last night were entertaining..

I would say around 7/10 The Undertaker match really saved Wrestlemania and i think Raw will get a rating of around 4.0

Just finished watching it and I hate to say it but that was a terrible show. :/

 

First, where the F*** was Daniel Bryan? That was probably the match I was most looking forward to. Why are they advertising a match for the show and pulling it off just before it? That makes no sense. You have a guy with the skill of Daniel Bryan and you don't let him showcase those skills on your "biggest stage"? WTF?

 

Edge vs. ADR is first! Isn't the Royal Rumble winner supposed to be in the MAIN EVENT and not in the opening match? I was afraid they would be doing something stupid like this. But then they even have Edge retain. :/ At least the match was good. I'd say the 4th best match of the show. But Edge must be the most unlikeable face ever. He tortured Kane and his father and actually even killed him, I think, he got Vickie and Dolph fired and now he destroys ADR's car. I mean, it would make sense if those guys actually did something more horrible to him than that but they didn't.

 

Cody vs. Rey was very very good. 2nd best match of the night if you ask me. And the right man won. So at least one match where they did everything right (IMO :lol:).

 

Then the 8-man tag. WHAT THE F***? I have to think that the Corre did something backstage to p*** Vince or someone else off, otherwise there is no explanation for this burial. Corre is basically dead now after this. I see no way for them to recover.

 

Punk vs. Orton was my MOTN and the only match I actually felt involved in. So I have to give Orton credit as well. :P Punk's legwork was great and the only flaw I have with this match is that the punt attempt made Orton look stupid. Why try the move after Punk worked on your leg for several minutes after it already didn't work last Monday after a much less serious attack? But the rest was great and the finish was perfect. :wub: Maybe I'm imagining this but I think Orton actually nods in approvement right after he hits the move. :lol:

 

Cole vs. Lawler. Everything up until both get in the ring was good and entertaining. But then they actually have Cole control the match. This match needed to be the complete destruction of Cole, not him working on King's leg. The crowd was dead for it and there even was a BORING chant. The post-match stuff was just weird. Looks like they are actually continueing with this feud. The Booker stunner looked great with him spitting out the beer, though. :lol:

 

Taker vs. HHH. Well, that's a hard one. It was a good match and the nearfall after the HHH tombstone was actually pretty believable but it just didn't feel as special as the 2 HBK matches to me. And the finish was very anticlimatic, I thought. But I guess I'm just not a fan of submission finishers. The match was good and they had the crowd going wild but it just wasn't for me, I guess.

 

Snooki vs. Laycool etc. etc. It was pretty entertaining and they kept it short. I have to admit that I was impressed with Snooki's athleticism. I did not expect that. And they should just stop with the Vickie fat jokes since she has lost a lot of weight and looks great now.

 

Cena vs. Miz might have been the worst WM main event ever?!? The Miz video package before the match was great. The match was like every Cena match in the last years until they started working towards the double countout. At least Miz got to retain which is great.

 

Overall, this was probably the weakest Mania I have seen, tbh.

 

Now off to watch RAW to see how they followed this up. :lol:

You never know anything can happen in a year. Seeing Edge is a face and Punk a heel it might result in a feud.

I certainly hope not. :P

 

Punk deserves a better opponent than Orton or Edge.

 

And he already took the title off of him when he was a face and Edge a heel. :lol:

Edge Vs Del Rio : Ok it was a bit odd to see the WHC go on first but TBH perhaps as a good reason because it was a fantastic match. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Wished Christian would've been involved more though. 9/10

I should mention that I've seen this all now. Great PPV. Could've done with Sheamus V Bryan being shown though as the 8 man tag was under 2 minutes and 6 mixed person tag was also quite short and pointless.
