We are happy to announce that Cheryl Cole is launching her own charitable foundation with The Prince’s Trust following a meeting with the youth charity’s President, HRH The Prince of Wales. The Cheryl Cole Foundation will provide vital funds for The Prince’s Trust in the North East, helping disadvantaged young people from Cheryl’s own hometown and the surrounding region.

Cheryl said: “Too many young people grow up thinking no-one cares and don’t believe they can make anything of themselves. They have so much potential – but can go off the rails without the right care and support. I want my Foundation to help them realise their potential and get their lives on track. “I have always been a great admirer of the work of The Prince’s Trust with disadvantaged young people across the UK. It’s the perfect charity for my Foundation to support.”

The Cheryl Cole Foundation, which will launch in April, will support The Trust’s work with young people who have struggled at school, are long-term unemployed, those who have been in trouble with the law and those who are in or leaving care. More than three in four young people supported by The Trust move into jobs, education or training.

Cheryl will attend The Prince’s Trust & L'Oréal Paris Celebrate Success Awards next month, which recognise the outstanding achievements of young people who have overcome challenges ranging from drug addiction and depression to homelessness.

A spokesperson for Clarence House added: “The Prince is delighted that Cheryl has decided to support young people through his Prince’s Trust.”

I'm surprised her mother is not there. Cheryl's looking good though, good cause etc.

yeah :D

I'm glad she's now really using her public image to support a proper charity cause. :)

And OH MY she looks stunning there.

NU MOTHER TERESA

Wow, that's a HUGE thing for her and good on her for doing it. Considering she's famously the Geordie-girl-with-a-conviction-gone-good, it's like she's come full circle here and is actually giving back to the deprived community she's always on about.

Fresh from a stint in Los Angeles, Chezza dazzled on the red carpet in a floor-length peach coloured gown, which was slashed to the thigh, teaming the dress with gold heels and an animal-print clutch bag.

The Promise This singer, who presented a gong at the ceremony, appeared to put the stresses of The X Factor USA to the back of her mind as she flashed her trademark smile and posed for photographers.

Following her meeting with Prince Charles at Clarence House last month, Chezza caught up with the future King at the event - with the Prince taking the time to praise the 27-year old for her charity work.

Cheryl has recently launched her own charity, the Cheryl Cole Foundation, which aims to help troubled teens in her native Newcastle.

Speaking of the Fight For This Love hitmaker's charity work, Prince Charles stated: "'She has used the Prince's Trust to put into effect what she is doing in the North East to help turn people's

Cole also paid homage to the Prince's Trust when presenting an award on stage at the Odeon Leicester Square, telling the audience: "'Coming from my background and growing up where I did, I'm fully aware of the circumstances of these disadvantaged young people."
