140k for Jessie J's album in the first week

Adele must be selling loads this week then seeing as she's 18k ahead at the moment.

It's not true, in this generation? no, you don't HAVE to buy this before you hear this... and the critics are mostly bad so it's not helping too.

Do the general public actually listen to what the critics have to say though ? Surely they'd buy it based on liking Price Tag and Do It Like A Dude

I'd rather judge for myself rather than not listen because someone else gives it a bad review

I do not think it is the fact that the critics have been generally dismissive of the album it is the fact that so many of them have barely had anything good to say. I think that made me think twice before downloading it but of course it depends on if she has built up a strong enough fan base who will buy regardless.

below 100k

500k-1million

I think 80-90k this week, 600k or so this year. 18k behind Adele is a greater gap than I expected, though Adele does have Sunday sales which might be quite high especially in the supermarkets.

I can see Adele doing 120-130k this week so Jessie could do 100k, but probably not much more.

Well, Adele is 18K in front of Jessie. If Adele is still selling +150K by Sunday then Jessie should get +100K. When we get some actual sales figures it will be easier to tell.

Assuming the ratio of Adeles lead over Jessie's stays the same.

as Adele is comfortably ahead, I'd say less than 100k for this week, I just can't see her being a huge album seller- she may manage around 500-600k by the end of the year
I agree and I think she will do about 90k this week and 500k in total. The critics have rumbled her and alot of the reviews have included the fact that there is not much there bar the hype, her songs sound the same and lack substance.

I am SO shocked at this.

It is genuinly one of the best albums I've ever bought or downloaded.

The uptempos on there a exoctically fantastic. Id try to find anyone who doesnt like

-rainbow

-whos laughing now

-abracadabra

and some of the ballads OMG!

Nobodys perfect <3

I need this

even the weakers tracks are listenable and not a filler standard like LOVE and Stand Up

I am predicting around 85k+ first weeek, I can't see it doing over 100k this week.

By the end of the year after 2 or 3 more singles I can imagine this will AT LEAST go 2x platinum. From what I have heard I don't think this is a million+ selling album.

105,859 first week sales. So she got the +100K. Well done 25 people (37%) :)

Edit lol someone voted since my post....it now says 26.

Great sales for her, but i think they definitely were aiming for #1 as everywhere it was saying 'Due to demand brought forward' but great great sales, just Adele is beating anyone out there.
Poll is closed, very funny at the 3 members that increased it after the sales have been given.
