The pop song was written by Ina Wroldsen, Harry Sommerdahl and Kalle Engström. "Work" was released as the final single from the group's debut album, Chasing Lights. The single was released by Fascination Records in the United Kingdom and Europe, while releasing the single in Ireland under the label of Polydor Records. The song was released with a music video, which was filmed on May 16th 2009, at Shepperton Studios. The music video features a different beat to the single. The music video became the bands most viewed video (at the time of the release), and which took concept of the band's upcoming tour to be titled The Work Tour. "Work", kicked the tour off, by having clips of the music video, where they do the catwalk. Total: 67pts Edited March 8, 201114 yr by Gaga for Glee!
March 9, 201114 yr I don't get the hate for the Work video. At the time it was released Work was the best video they'd done and possibly the video with the biggest budget (believe it or not) with the dancers and pyrotechnics (which aren't cheap by the way). I think it has done rightfully well to come 5th.

Written by Alexander Kronlund and Lukas Hilbert with production from Hilbert and James Reynolds, the song was released as the collection's lead single on 5 August as a digital download and on 9 August as a CD single. The lyrics centre around being in a relationship where the passion has died, but still being addicted to the love that used to exist. It features an electropop production, incorporating elements of trance and synthpop. The group described the song as "an updated version of their sound" and was fun to record and experiment with. "Missing You is more out-there than that rest of [Headlines!]."[1] The single received some criticism for using auto-tuned vocals. An accompanying music video features scenes of the group dancing on a beach in Málaga, Spain. It charted in Ireland at number six but in the UK it faired better, reaching number three only to be beaten by Eminem and Flo Rida respectively. It is the second time that the group have lost out to the US rapper in chart battle although it is their fourth top-ten hit in Ireland and seventh in the UK. March 9, 201114 yr aaaah shame it wasn't higher! i mean missing you isn't higher up the chart i love the video it makes me feel warm!
March 9, 201114 yr I love the 'Missing You' video even just for the fact it has a proper dance routine. But its great to see that their 4 most recent music videos are what the fans consider to be the top 4 videos.

It was one of the official Comic Relief Singles for 2009. On 8 March 2009, the song entered the UK Singles Chart at number 2, where it peaked, being beaten by Flo Rida after being at number 1 at the midweek count, thus being the first Comic Relief single not to chart at number 1 in 14 years. However, it gave The Saturdays their highest chart placing ever, outpeaking and outselling the original track, plus marked their fourth consecutive top ten hit in the UK. The success of this single was later matched by "Forever is Over". The song has also become a cult anthem of Celtic Football Club. Frankie Sandford and Una Healy take the first verse. While Rochelle Wiseman takes both bridges and backing vocals in the middle 8. Mollie King who does back up in all bridges, sings the second verse with Vanessa White who sings the adlibds and takes lead on the middle 8. She also backs up Rochelle in the second verse. Music videoThe music video premiered on MSN on 9 February 2009. The video shows each girl singing in a mock-50s pin-up calendar and uses a different edit of the song than the single version. March 10, 201114 yr 'Missing You' and 'Work' have very boring videso in my opinion, not a great deal happens in either and I'd easily consider them they're weakest videso. I like the 'Just Cant Get Enough' video though. Definatly think and hope this is 'Ego' heading for a win. 'Higher' has a nice video aswell but the attention doesnt appear to be on the girls themselves half the time and the 'Ego' video is just fabolous.
March 11, 201114 yr i love both the "work" and "missing you" videos both show the girls at there most sexiest, mature and confident. "ego" and "higher" are both good but just seem like they are a bit childish and too cutesy for my liking at times
