Posted March 15, 201114 yr It has been confirmed in today's Financial Times that Simon Fuller of XIX Entertainment is financing a movie based on Elvis' rise to fame to be made by Sony Pictures Entertainment. I suspect this will be based on Peter Guralnick's 'Last Train To Memphis'. Will be interesting to see how this one pans out. The main problem is getting someone to portray Elvis. Further, will it be a TV only production or one for the regular film circuit? Brian :D

March 18, 201114 yr I'm so glad that the movie looks like it's going to happen. They certainly are going to have a difficult job finding someone to play the part of Elvis who will do it justice. Okay, there were a couple of dodgy bits in Walk The Line but it was a really good film and I'm hoping that this will be as good. The book itself is my favourite about Elvis so I'm keeping my fingers firmly crossed that the film will reflect that
