March 19, 201114 yr Alright as a song but a bloody terrible and lazy Eurovision entry. It screams of an attempt by the Italians to flop deliberately so they can go off back into their judgemental pigeonhole with Eurovision. 3/10
March 20, 201114 yr Anyways, shockingly I'm going to disagree with Tyron and say that I really like this both as a song in its own right and as a Eurovision song. It's different to everything else in the competition, it's sophisticated, it builds throughout, and it's like a more authentic version of Germany's 2007 entry, which would have done very well had juries been involved at the time. I know it has been met with, to say the least, lukewarm reception from the fans, maybe because it isn't full of synths and vocoded "oh oh oh"s but I think this will stand out, and it's always nice to hear Italian at the contest. 9/10
March 20, 201114 yr I didn't like Germany 2007 either. But I did have a soft spot for Germany 2009, oddly enough. And whilst I do musically quite like the entry, the whole thing is just so un-Eurovision (really, juries aside, WHERE are the votes coming from? There's not that much to make it stick in the memory at all.) that it does just seem like the Italians are sending the most Italian and televoter-unfriendly thing going to find a reason to reject the contest once more. BRING BACK JALISSE.
March 20, 201114 yr Wow you're being more cynical than the Italians... I for one am glad, even if it flops, that they're sending the most Italian thing possible. We've waited 14 years for Italy to come back, I certainly don't want just another Satellite, or Shady Lady, or My Number One, or This Is Our Night etc etc
March 20, 201114 yr Yes, but there IS a middle ground. Something along the lines of Sognu (although obviously not that because two of those sorts of entries in one year wouldn't have been ideal) would've been just fine.
March 20, 201114 yr Not my cup of tea. I don't need 'Satellites', 'Shady Lady's and 'oh oh oh' choruses to be musically fulfilled, but at the same time, this really isn't the sort of music that I ever listen to or enjoy. I don't agree that it's a bad Eurovision entry - it's authentic, stands out and might attract higher brow televoters and will certainly attract some of the juries, but at the same time, I will NEVER listen to this song out of choice, sorry. 2/10 I didn't like Germany 2007 either, or 2009 :(
March 20, 201114 yr LOOOOOOVE this. I don't usually like music from Italy, but this is really great and I hope it scores well with the juries. Might even get a vote from me on the night, but it depends on the performance. 9/10. And I loved Germany 2007 and 2009. :P
March 20, 201114 yr Actually come to think of it, Patricia Kaas was about as "French" an entry and as "non-Eurovision" an entry as you can get, and she did alright. OK she completely flopped with the televoters but the juries loved her. OK this may not get the same result, but nobody thought that France were sending Patricia Kaas in order to "deliberately flop" and take a position on a high horse, and if they had sent Madness of Love nobody would be thinking that either. It's just because Italy has been away for 14 years and has got a reputation as the "snooty" competitors of Eurovision.
March 20, 201114 yr 1/10. It does absolutely nothing for me. I was really hoping for something better from Italy, they do have some amazing acts. I agree with Tyron, I just think they are aiming to flop so they can have a reason to withdraw again.

March 20, 201114 yr Well look I just think it's quite an unfair score...you've said yourself that the song is not that bad, clearly not a 3/10 in itself. It's not even like you're marking it down because of the style...it's got such a poor score because of what you percieve the motivation behind the song to be, which is just paranoia!
March 20, 201114 yr I still don't like it but I can listen to it now, so it's growing on me :kink: 4/10

March 21, 201114 yr I don't think that was really a mistake on Avramov's part, the song was terrible anyway. In any case, I really like this! It's the sort of thing I can imagine P!nk doing, and it's got a nice contemporary (well, for 2002) vibe to it all. I hope it qualifies but I can see it missing out... / 9/10
March 21, 201114 yr They're never going to top Water are they :( That song was incredibly amazing, the double whammy of both Bulgaria and Belarus sending brilliant songs at the same time was too much to handle! This song is ok, one of those that I listen to the least - I don't love or hate it, it's just there - the music's nice enough but I never remember it once it's finished playing, I think it's a definite non-qualifier sadly. 5/10
March 21, 201114 yr I don't know, I think it's happened again this year :o I Love Belarus is a PROPER tune, even though it's a complete hot mess.
