I was pretty indifferent to this for a while, until I saw the live performance which does lift it. Stella really sells the song. Still, the song itself is lacking something, so it's only a 7/10 from me.

ih3artduck5's 2/10 made Norway drop from 8,6 to 8,0

Next out is... Belgium, Moldova, Macedonia and Ireland

Belgium - Witloof Bay - With Love Baby

Not my kind of music, this song is very boring. I liked the beatboxing guy so I will give it...

If I could change the world, this would be one of them (after saving Europe from Hitler, and before changing FYR Macedonia's entry)

(I have schedule this to be finish 30th of April, that's the reason we had 4 entries today)

Belgium 9/10 love, love LOVE that kind of music. not a big fan of beat-boxing in the middle so it's not 10...

Moldova... i like Zdob si Zdub. their Boonika bate doba was awesome! i also love their take on

... but that one.. major fail. 1/10. that one point being an "image point" because i know what they can do and i like a lot of their regular stuff

Macedonia... no. just NO! 0 points let me spell it for impact: Z-E-R-O

Ireland... i'd rather have a pencil driven through my forehead than listen to it... on the second though, why should i suffer? someone... anyone, pass me two pencils please! with one ninja move i can rid the world of that horrible entry!

in case there is still any doubt: 0/10

Belgium: Not quite as bad as everyone makes out, but still fairly terrible / 3.5/10

Moldova: By far the worst entry of the year. Everything terrible about bad Eastern European entries in the past few years melded into 3 minutes of utter dreck. / 0/10

Macedonia: Same as above. / 0/10

Ireland: Obnoxious as hell (the little vocalisations at the end of every line in the verse make me want to punch Jedward to death), but there's a good song somewhere beneath the horrorshow. / 4.5/10

Belgium: 4/10 - It isn't all that bad, but some of the male vocals really do let it down significantly.

Moldova: 0/10 - Horrendous. I wasn't that big a fan of their 2005 entry either, the drumming granny was the only redeeming feature.

Macedonia: 1/10 - Also horrendous, but the intro is good.

Ireland: 7/10 - Vocally awful, but the song itself is rather good. It could have made a great Rachel Stevens single.

Belgium: 2/10 The final version is so much better. Still horrendous.

Moldova: 9.5/10 Great, catchy, memorable. <3

Macedonia: 1/10 Never listened to that after heard it for the first two times.

Ireland: 7/10

Moldova: 9.5/10 Great, catchy, memorable. <3

I think THIS IN ITSELF is damning enough without me having to say anything.

Yeah yeah *yawns*
it's so funny how different the tastes are... i guess that's the best part about the music. i can think something is crap but someone else would enjoy it and vise versa, i'd be drooling about some music and another person would cringe and try to jump out of the window on the first note

Belgium: 4/10 - Final version is better, but it's still a bit awful.

Moldova: 7.5/10 - I quite like this. :D

Macedonia: 2/10 - I'll force myself to listen to this again and hope that it will suddenly become magical.

Ireland: 8.5/10 - I'm not biased, I swear. I like Jedward as people, but yes, as singers they're AWFUL. The studio version is great. (If we were basing this on live performance, then of course they'd be at the bottom!)

Oh joy, four of my favourites!

Belgium: Absolutely horrible, I can't stand this type of music at the best of times, but paired with an atrocious song, it's a massive turn-off. 0/10

Moldova: Their 2005 entry had one redeeming feature in that it was at least memorable with a gimmick, pushing it up to a 1/10. This however has nothing going for it. 0/10

Macedonia: Typical Macedonian dad-rock entry that has a tiny resemblance to the Tetris tune in parts, which is its one and only reason that it's saved from a zero. They need to step up their game massively next year because their entries are constantly not just bad, but terrible. 1/10

Ireland: Can't stand Jedward and I find this song incredibly irritating. I just wish they'd go away, but now we have to endure even more of them. That said, sung by somebody more tolerable, the song could have been ok, towards the top of my 'awful' pile. 4/10

The four entries I didn't use random.org with :kink:

Belgium: Much better than "I Hear Your Heart" but still not great. Still, I like the revamped version, it has one of the year's better key changes. 6/10

Moldova: A mess. 1/10

Macedonia: I don't really like this at the moment but I can see it worming its way into my head gradually. 3/10

Ireland: I've talked about Jedward til I'm blue in the face so I'll just say that this song is average and doesn't go anywhere. It's not even that contemporary. 4/10

There is a new version of Haba Haba on YouTube.

Unfortunately, I can not post the link because I have not 20 posts yet. :(

You can find it on YouTube on page 2 if you are searching for:

I'm so glad we're reviewing Switzerland today! I've always thought it was quite nice, but today, on a lovely sunny afternoon, I'm really seeing its appeal. Lovely little summery song, and it actually really stands out in its position in the running order. There is no way it's up with the favourites and it never will be, but I think they've got a very good chance of FINALLY qualifying with this. 7/10

5/10

Crap. Still listenable though. I have a feeling she might do a Portugal 2010 in the semis for me :o

I really like this, a very good-feel song and also very catchy too. Also with being after 7 uptempos in the 1st semi - that could be a good advantage.

9/10

This is very nice in a tolerable-Jason Mraz-y kind of way, and works wonderfully on sunny afternoons. I can see this one being the shock qualifier of the year if we do get one. / 7/10
