April 3, 201114 yr 7/10. Very nice, but after about 5 or 6 listens, I can only remember the opening two lines. I can't even recall how the chorus goes. Therefore, I think it's very much a non-qualifier.
April 3, 201114 yr It was a bit of a non-song to start with but after about 10 listens, and now hearing the new version, my opinion is changing on this for the better. Problem is, it's not at ALL instant, but it will stand out as a contrast in its semi I guess. I'd still be quite annoyed if they qualified with this having missed out with some of the best entries of the last few years. Nevertheless, 7.5/10

April 4, 201114 yr They're lucky that I downloaded the compilation last night as it actually sounds far far better than whatever version I was listening to before. It's different I guess but I still personally feel that it's their worst entry in some years. I still wouldn't be shocked to see it top ten but it would be a shame for me if it did get that high. 5/10
April 4, 201114 yr very much dislike. it starts nicely... for few seconds, the it's a train-wreck. 3/10
April 4, 201114 yr 8/10 Bored of it a bit but still the vocalist is HOTHOTHOT and his part in greek is amazing.
April 15, 201114 yr Author Greece recived an average rank of 4,4 = EUROFAIL Next out is Austria, Poland and Finland (Click on the heart flags for official songs) Poland: I liked this at first listen, but now I think the song is really bad... 3/10 Austria: Really beautiful song, but I don't think it will do really good 7/10 Finland: One of my favorites, really hope they can qualify. April 15, 201114 yr Poland: I really liked it for a couple of weeks, but since the competition got a lot bigger it stands out as being just another slightly above average pop song. Like a weaker version of Anniela's Elektrisk in some ways. Nice that it's contemporary and better than their last few entries, but I'd be surprised if it troubled the final. 7/10 Austria: This I was rooting for from the first time I heard it, when I listened to the songs in the Austrian NF - she wasn't tipped to win that selection but she did, and I was ecstatic watching it live and see it because like the song or not, she has a phenomenal voice, reminding me of early Christina Aguilera (as does the song - Reflection anyone?). I'm in no doubt that she'll pull off a stellar vocal on the night, but being drawn 2nd won't help her cause much...I'm dying for this one to scrape into the final as it's my favourite Eurovision ballad for many many years. I know many people don't 'get it' but it suits my music tastes perfectly. My only criticism is her styling - her bob with fringe hairstyle doesn't particularly suit her (imo) and she always seems to be dressed in old woman's clothes :lol:10/10 Finland: Another one I liked more at the start when barely anything had been chosen. I still think it's very pleasant and has potential to do well, but the 'boy with guitar' sound was absolutely perfected by Belgium last year, and this seems slightly more schoolboy lyrically - which is half of its charm, but also it's incredibly twee. Still, I enjoy it and I see it qualifying and finishing mid-table, which is perfectly respectable for Finland. 8/10
April 15, 201114 yr Poland: quite a good entry although not that interesting. Still better than most of their past entries. 8/10 Austria: Does not move me even though it probably HAS to considering how amazing she sounds live. Maybe the live performance will help? 8/10 Finland: Growing on me bit by bit... Don't like the singer's voice but other than that it's quite good. 8/10 OH HAI 8/10'S.
April 15, 201114 yr Poland: I REALLY liked this when it was first chosen, but as seems to be the rule with electropop at Eurovision it's fairly weak, and definitely less than the sum of its parts. I'd quite like it to qualify as Poland could do with a year in the final on their own merits, but it's only a / 7/10 Austria: The best traditional ballad of the year, hands down. It builds spectacularly, Nadine has some fabulous vox going on, and generally if this fails to make it I can see Austria pulling out forever. / 10/10 Finland: This is nice, and I'm certain it'll qualify - but really it is an incredibly cynical choice which I'd quite like to see perform about as well as Javine did in 2005. / 6/10
April 17, 201114 yr Poland: A really good song, but when I did my rankings it seemed to get a bit lost as it came 11th in SF1 ranking. Nevertheless, it's a 7.5/10 for me. Austria: This song is very much a grower, and her vocals and the song are fantastic after a few listens. My second favourite overall and it's semi (excluding UK). 9.5/10 Finland: It's always nice to have a guitar ballad, and this one is pretty decent. 7.5/10
April 17, 201114 yr Poland: It's OK, but a little bit bland. I can't see it qualifying, but it could earn Poland another 11th place in the semi final. 6/10 Austria: It didn't strike a chord with me at first but now I really like it. Maybe the rest of Europe will feel the same though - I wasn't overly fussed on Lako Je Sve at first last year and thought it was DNQ, then I ended up loving it and thought it was a dead cert to make the final, and then look what happened! 7/10 Finland: It's nice, I went through a phase of loving it, now I'm just liking it. 7/10

April 17, 201114 yr United Kingdom: THIS is the entry that I've been waiting for. Jade was great (even if it sounded 50 years out of date) but I've been screaming out for a contemporary pop song that has potential to do well in the charts of today, and this is it. The slight shame being that ESC has such a stigma in the UK that no self respecting radio station would dream of playlisting it, unless perhaps we win and it properly takes off. Taio Cruz gets every single of his playlisted everywhere and this is definitely the sort of thing I could imagine him coming out with. I'm still extremely confident that we have a good chance of winning, or at the very least coming top 5 again, and I hope it does become a hit in Europe (#1 in Italy!). It's very rare that I get to call the home entry my favourite in the contest - but this year I CAN :D 10/10
