Indeed. :o Y'see, I don't always rely purely on the release schdule to chart songs. 'On The Floor' and 'Hey (Nah Neh Nah)' have already started doing well in Europe so I'm jumping on board the "European bandwagon" and decided to chart them now rather than keeping them in the Pre-Release chart for another couple of weeks. Besides, this is Jennifer Lopez best single in a long time - it's far superior to 'Get Right' which got to #2 in my chart (for some reason!!! :lol: ). Well, at the time I must've liked it enough to put it that high.

Well, this track has now managed to create a unique yo-yo chart run. To think, I didn't listen to the song as much when it dropped 13-19. Then two weeks ago I started listening to the song more again, and now it's returned to the top 10. Could be reclimb back into the top 10? :o As far as I can remember, only two songs have achieved this; Infernal 'From Paris To Berlin' first charted for me in March 2005 peaking at #6, then re-entered my chart in May 2006 where it peaked at #4 following its UK release. The other song was Shakira 'Don't Bother' which entered my chart at #2, fell as low as #31 then following the announcement that the track was getting released in the UK, the track reclimbed my chart and got as high as #7.

 

And why that #2 track :( :puke2: finds headphones.

 

Why so negative? :( 'Hey (Nah Neh Nah)' is as good as 'We No Speak Americano' which was #1 in my chart last year. Still, not quite as good as 'On The Floor'. ^_^

Good to see some more Eurolove for 'Hey (Nah Neh Nah). I will admit, I much prefer the European version that's been charting Germany, Austria and Switzerland recently. The UK version has been heavily edited and - quite disappointingly - slows down to the speed of the original halfway through the song before speeding up to the dance version again. Ruins the remix for me completely so I'm charting the European version instead.

Yes, this is a great track. One that also created a bizarre chart run all thanks to the amount of times I listened to the song - it really picked up during the week it went 32-18 and then it was one of my more listened to tracks for two weeks. Not really played it again in the last couple of weeks hence why it's now dropped again.

'On The Floor' is just brilliant. I would love to see this track get to #1 in the UK as it's so much better than 'Love Don't Cost A Thing' and 'Get Right'.

01 (--) Jennifer Lopez feat. Pitbull - On The Floor (01) [1 wk] Let's forget the 00's ever happened, this could have been the (amazing) follow up to Waiting For Tonight :lol:

 

Actually, I didn't particularly mind some of Jennifer Lopez's hits from the early 00s. Still, they just don't compare to this mighty gem. The influences of 'Stereo Love' and 'Lambada' work really well together on this track.

 

02 (--) Milk & Sugar Vs Vaya Con Dios - Hey (Nah Neh Nah) (02) [1 wk] I like this but don't think it's as good as We No Speak Americano!

 

I also think this is brilliant. :lol: I know it's tacky Eurodance fodder but I guess it's considered "guilty pleasure". Although like I posted above, I'm not impressed at all with the UK edit of the track. The version released in Europe is far superior and doesn't have an awkward slowed down section in the middle. :wacko:

 

17 (--) Static Revenger & Richard Vission feat. Luciana - I Like That (17) [1 wk] Was obsessed with this about a year ago, brilliant dance track - could have actually been a big hit here with a bit of support!

 

I'm surprised their record company didn't capitalise on this when the track made the top 10 in Australia. I don't think 'I Like This' would've fared any better had it been released at the time in the UK. It's a good trashy dance track but I wouldn't say it's the best dance track I listened to this week. I even think the Mutya Buena track at #16 is better. I also suspect hardly anyone even knows 'Give Me Love'. Either that or everyone does know the song but they all hate it.

I think the record company have been far too hasty releasing this so soon after 'Hold It Against Me'. Even more baffling the fact it was released just as the music video to 'HIAM' premiered. I do think 'Till The World Ends' is alright but for some reason Britney's vocals in the chorus (ie; the "i can't take it, take it, take no more" etc... bit) really grates on me. :(

The Saturdays' debut single 'If This Is Love' got to #16 in my chart but their follow up 'Up' remains their most successful single in my chart peaking at #7 although they've had a couple of low top 10 singles in my chart too. Parade have got a lot of work to do if they're going to be classed as the new Saturdays. Ideally, they'll be given some decent material. 'Louder' is ok but nothing more than that imo.
