In an epic tussle for the new No.1 in the singles, it's Jennifer Lopez that scores her first ever chart topper, up from No.4 with On The Floor whilst Blue's I Can climbs a place to No.2 just behind her...last week's top two from Sanna Nielsen and Sara Varga fall back two places each to No.3 and No.4 respectively with L.I.F.E.G.O.E.S.O.N. by Noah & The Whale leaping into the top five for the first time at No.5!!! In the album chart, Britney Spears claims a second week in control with Femme Fatale, with Melodifestivalen 2011 sticking at No.2!!! Nicole Scherzinger's long delayed debut solo album Killer Love is new at No.3, Noah & The Whale are back up a spot to No.4 with Last Night On Earth and Sanna Nielsen falls two spots to No.5 with I'm In Love...

I know! I don't ever chart Glee unless I have good reason too, this is the first song of theirs since Total Eclipse Of The Heart that I've actually gone back to listen to outside of the episode. Amazing mash-up!

 

Chris' album is half filler and half pretty amazing, I might make my own 10 track version of it and cut out all of the yawnsome urban ballads that he seems to have padded the album out with.

I sort of agree about Killer Love, the first 9 or so tracks are great, and then I fell asleep :lol: I don't think I have charted anything of Nicki's solo beforehand - oh wait, Fly made my top 20 - although moreso for Rihanna's chorus :lol: I did listen to the album on Spotify but aside from 1 or 2 tracks, it wasn't my sort of thing. I don't recall hearing Girls Fall Like Dominoes on it though :unsure:

GFLD is an iTunes bonus track on the deluxe edition (not sure if in the US or WW), but it hasn't been released in the UK on an album yet. There's a deluxe edition with that and a couple of others out in April in the UK!

This song never gets boring, it's just a wonderful song and despite a few weeks slipping down my chart is now finding a whole new lease of life as I find myself listening to this track more. Could it return to my top 10? :o

I had this as my third fave track from this years batch of Eurovision entries but have to admit, I'm already starting to get bored of it slightly. Yet the French entry 'Sognu' remains far ahaead of Blue (2nd) who are comfortably ahead of whatever I'm rating third best at the moment. :kink: For me, it's all about France and UK. Good to see that two of the "big 4" have got excellent tracks.

I still don't get bored of watching Adele's Brits performance which has been getting loads of airplay in the music channels. Who'd have thought 'SLY' would end up returning to #1? The melody in this track is so similar to Blumchen 'Herz On Herz'. This is still one of the better tracks going into Eurovision 2011.

What a massive improvement on 'The Time (Dirty Bit)'. At least this track is looking to be a big hit - it deserves it if 'The Time' can be a hit despite being nowhere near as good.

Personally, I don't think this track is anywhere near as good as both 'The Flood' or 'Kidz' which was still riding high inside my top 10 as of last week. Has this been confirmed as the third single?

Guilty pleasure!!! :lol: I was actually watching the original 'I Can't Wait' video by Nu Shooz on VH-1 Classic during the week and I thought how ahead of her time the singer was. It reminds me so much of early Ace Of Base who were having massive success some 6/7 years later with similar sounding music.

 

48. Snoop Dogg feat David Guetta - Sweat (63) (CR-63-48)

 

As far as David Guetta tracks go, this isn't anywhere the Euphoric genius of 'When Love Takes Over', 'Sexy Bitch' or even 'Who's That Chick'. However, it's still a decent track nonetheless and should do well in my chart.

 

69. LMFAO feat Lauren Bennett and Goon Rock - Party Rock Anthem (NEW) (CR-69)

 

I've been seeing this video quite a lot throughout the week and everytime I hear this, I think of 'Another Day In Paradise' by Phil Collins. :lol: The music (chord seqeunce) is identical but obviously this is more synth based. I also quite like this - it's much better than the David Guetta track 'Gettin' Over You' they featured on (a UK #1 :drama: ) but also a hell of a lot better than that noise 'I'm In Miami Girl' which was just crap. :lol:

 

71. Aloe Blacc - I Need A Dollar (NEW) (CR-71)

 

Is this getting a UK release? :o Someone entered this into Unknown Pleasures 2 last year just before it became a big European hit. Due to myself allowing UP related tracks to chart, 'I Need A Dollar' charted and peaked at #7 for me last summer.

'All Of The Lights' is easily one of Kanye's best singles he's released, and I'm glad that the track has finally taken off after it looked like the track had peaked two weeks ago. 1. I agree completely, she's never been one of my favourite singers - this isn't just her first #1 for me but first top ten! She's had a very patchy back catalogue but this is immense.

2. I don't think I ever charted anything by them to be honest :lol: I only had a top 10 at the time they were big though - had it stretched out further I'd have charted If You Come Back and All Rise but that's about it. I Can is a great song though.

5. I agree, as the weather improves it gets more and more joyful to listen to - fantastic band!

12. I can't see it quite going to #1! But indeed, it's grown on me hugely. First I thought 'good but not my sort of thing', then I thought 'maybe it's becoming my sort of thing' and now I think, 'this is a masterpiece'. Wouldn't mind seeing it win ESC at all (although as a good Brit, I'd prefer Blue to win :P)
