This is amazing :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

Thanks Bev

The album is just pure easylistening pop perfection produced entirely by Richard X. Melodies with electronic soft touch and his distinctive voice makes "Echoes" one of the great pop albums of this century
Thanks Bev for the other big review made lovely reading..

but aw....

I now feel accepted in a way I’d never have thought possible ten years ago

You have just got to listen to this.

The fabulous Will Young just got a whole lot more fabulous as he has given fans a chance to listen to the majority(10 out of 13 tracks) off his upcoming album Echoes on his Facebook page out Sunday, 22nd August and would you believe, it absolutely stunning. Seriously. The blissful production and gorgeous electronica. Ugh. I just can’t.

For those(few) of you who don’t use Facebook, you can listen to the tracks here.

A definite favourite of the year and possibly one of Young’s greatest albums. Look out an album review, following the set’s release

He has EPs and compilations ahead of him on both charts so he would be #38 on the main and #14 on the pop if it was all just full albums.

Another review from the Guardian...not the best but Four stars again and she does call it classy!

Will Young: Echoes – review

Incredibly, it's been nearly 10 years since Will Young won Pop Idol, since which he's become a reliable source of decent chart pop. So his decision to enlist producer Richard X and dabble with synths on his fifth album feels like a legitimate move rather than a clutching-at-straws gesture, and he carries it off successfully. The songs are downtempo and spacious, and Young's vocals have a morning-afterish quality that suits him very well – though he occasionally lets loose an affected falsetto he'd have been better keeping to himself. There's something of the Pet Shop Boys' elegant restraint in Losing Myself, and Personal Thunder's lounge-pop encroaches on George Michael territory, but Young stamps his identity on them with vocals that convey the disenchantment of a rich young gay man who's just taken a long look at himself in the mirror. "Classy" is the word that comes to mind all the way through these 13 songs.

Another Blog..

The A list..

Will Young, 'Echoes'

I haven't even finished listening to a full four songs, and I'm already obsessed! Will Young just released ten of his album's tracks in their entirety on his Facebook! They'll be available until his brand new album, Echoes, is released Monday!

The album is so perfect! It's electro-disco pop heaven! Young's sultry voice coupled with seductively delicious tones. Boy George comes to mind every time I listen to a song. I suppose the 80s aesthetic is to blame for that.
