Branding Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera as copycats, Janet Jackson’s rap mogul beau Jermaine Dupri has praised his sweetheart’s originality in her work.

Dupri, who according to speculation is planning to tie the knot with Jackson on September 26th this year, said that the forthcoming album will set the standard for her rivals in the business, and be a trendsetter.

"Only Janet records sound like her. I always look and think, where's Beyonce going to be in 20 years?' It's hard for me to visualise. I don't put them on the same planeâ€, Contactmusic quoted him, as saying.

"Artists just need to make good music. I said to Janet, 'All you got to do is sing.' Britney and Christina Aguilera are all copycats of one personâ€. "Janet doesn't go for the same typical cars and street videos. She was the reason we started to watch TV. She's back to her full capacity and blowing it out to the levelâ€, he added. (ANI)

Like i said in the britney forum, when janets album struggles to make Gold status i will LAUGH.

Well I do love JD for his work with Mariah but this is OUT of order.

I do love Janet, but Christina, Britney and Beyoncé all have more talent in a fingernail than Janet has. Also, "All Janet has to do is sing!" erm last time I heard her sing it didn't sound too strong, oh that's right it never did.

 AGREED.

Last time she had to show her boob with justin timberlake to get her album to sell 100K

Exactly, and she thinks this new "song" with Nelly is gonna be her huge comeback? Oh my.
Out of order, I mean how is In The Zone + Stripped etc anywhere near anything else on the market? Yeh he did great with Mariah, I'll give him that. As much as I love Janet (prefer her to Beyonce -_-) her 'comeback single' is NO way strong enough :(
In The Zone and Stripped were both ground-breaking albums for both artists, and Janets album just... wasn't.

Yes in the zone and stripped are both in my top 5 albums of all time, janet isnt :(

Jermaine Dupri just likes to talk smack and then fail to back it up.

Exactly, Stripped and In The Zone are 2 of my favourite albums ever, Janets last few albums were quite good, but nothing new or especially amazing by any stretch of the imagination. -_-
The last Janet Jackson album I liked is "Velvet Rope"... I think we shouldn't pick on Janet cause she hasn't even talked lmao. It is the bloody bast*rd JD who started the thing
JD is very outspoken, and everyone says he's a genius and in some ways he is, but he has to have the right artist to do it with, I mean he's produced Janets new album, but it WILL bomb. Whereas he worked on Mimi and that was a major success, just proves that it's not all down to him and that it's the artist he's working with too. ;)

That's true, but I'm fed up of his rapping to be honest. The only thing he says is "I need everybody to report to dancefloor" or something... well, he rapped that bit in 2 songs lol

He's done it in a few now hasn't he? He's done it in It's Like That, Control Myself, and he did it in a Dem Franchise Boys song or something as well didn't he?
Yes, lol... it was cool on Mariah's song, but then it turned unbearable... like all the rappers singing "jazzy fizzle" or something, it drives me nuts!

Yeah Jazzy Fae is a producer.

Works on Ciara's stuff and been doing various other projects with Diddy and others. :P

 You know a lot about RnB/Hip-hop artists! I will use you as a source :P

You think? :o

Nah I don't know a lot, I just watch a lot of videos, and read a lot of album credits.

 I bought In The Zone beacuse of Toxic, and listened to it minimally, then put it away until like 3 months ago, I listen to it all the time now, it's amazing :D:P!
