June 21, 201114 yr just watched this. was pretty good. some great action scenes, loved the soundtrack too. Indeed, another great soundtrack, this time by Chemical Brothers... And with Daft Punk doing Tron Legacy recently too.... Would be cool if we could maybe get Leftfield or FSOL out of semi-retirement to do one....

Would be cool if we could maybe get Leftfield or FSOL out of semi-retirement to do one.... i didn't think the Tron soundtrack was all that tbh, then again I haven't seen the film so don't know it in context. Reznor is getting in with some great soundtrack work too, his Social Network soundtrack is great, and if the Girl With The Dragon Tattoo trailer is anything to go by it's going to be great too. would love to hear Aphex Twin giving a soundtrack a shot.
September 26, 201113 yr I hated this for so many reasons. The direction. lightning and soundtrack being the main ones. The plot was wafer thin too. The director seems to have approached this as a pop video with pointless jump cuts and fast edits that added no excitement The first 20 minutes were good then it all went wrong when she pressed the button. Solid lead actress but Cate Blanchett came across as pantomime wicked witch and Eric Bana was wasted. The lighting was gaudy and that along with the style and soundtrack made me think this seemed dated and very late 90s in style, which let's face was not a golden age for cinema.
