HE’LL ‘ave it! I have uncovered a secret plot to get comedian PETER KAY to the top spot in the Christmas charts.

 

 

The frustrated pub singer took a year off from his telly career to work his way around the pop circuit.

 

And after befriending a string of music stars, his pal SHARLEEN SPITERI has launched a campaign to Show Him The Way to get his debut album to No1.

 

The TEXAS singer is pushing Peter to record a load of compilations with his crowd of chart-topping pals.

 

Peter appeared on Sharleen’s video for her Top Ten single Sleep after they met at Live 8. Now it seems she has become his musical adviser.

 

 

Sharleen told me: “Peter is amazing, he’s become one of my really good friends. When he asked me if he could appear in the video for Sleep I thought he was having a laugh.

 

“But it was one of the funniest things I’ve ever done. He loves music and going to gigs, it’s getting a bit obsessive.

 

“Peter’s got so many mates in the music industry now so I’ve told him to get an album together. He’s performed with me, TONY CHRISTIE and ELTON JOHN and he’s friends with PAUL WELLER, BILLY JOEL and TAKE THAT.

 

 

“If he got an album together with all of them on there it is bound to go to No1. I’d definitely be on it.

 

“We are already doing something together at Christmas which I can’t talk too much about. — but of course, it is going to be hilarious.

 

“It would be great if he managed to get the album together for then as well.â€

 

The funnyman’s pop career kicked off when he mimed along to Tony Christie’s (Is This The Way To) Amarillo to get the charity single to No1 last year.

 

 

Then he set himself the challenge of becoming the UK’s ultimate groupie by joining all his favourite artists on stage.

 

He teamed up with Sharleen at Manchester’s MEN Arena and made surprise appearances with ERIC CLAPTON and QUEEN.

 

Paul Weller invited his pal backstage at the T In The Park festival. He appeared on stage again at the MEN with Elton in May.

 

And after going to see Take That five times, Peter has been in talks to replace ROBBIE WILLIAMS on a new track by the legendary boy band.

 

I also revealed two weeks ago how he strutted his stuff at seven Billy Joel gigs on the run.

 

Now that’s dedication for you.

 

If he manages to join his pop idols in the No1 Club he’ll be able to buy all the garlic bread he can eat.

I read this earlier, depends what other contenders are around as well.

I can't see him having a #1 album. Depends on the single I suppose.

He can't sing..peter is becoming annoying.

I saw Peter at four of the Will concerts I went to, I hope he doesn't drag Will into this, I'll keep a lookout for him at the MEN in september. :lol:

The Beatles - Love (Cirque Du Soleil) 2CD OST consisting of splicing & samples of 130 Beatles tracks or The Spice Girls "Greatest Hits" if they can be arsed to do a new song for Children In Need in November & a documentary to go with it.

Dickhead. He's got completely lost in nostalgic "irony" now and doesn't get it at all.

 

Texas are absolutely awful too. Sharleen will do anything to get them back to where they were.

 

This deserves to flop...but it won't...because it'll never, ever happen...the words "From the Sun" are all you need to prove that.
