Yeah, I think Cory will be out too.

The thing I don't quite understand is why they even got an androgynous model on the show if absolute MOST of the things Cory had to do was by channelling a guy! Cover in Nylon, Guess campaign - all of the prizes have strict gender restrictions too. Things that people like Marvin or Jourdan don't have to worry about at all are hard to master for Cory. If only the prizes were covers in Vogue or other more fashion-oriented and not so commercial magazines.

Cory was set up to fail on this one. I'm not even sure why they have let him get this far if that's clearly not what they want. They're not exactly spreading the "love thyself" message by hammering home that he needs to butch up all the time.

 

I also don't understand why the preview for next week showed all 3 models on the catwalk in the final show, when we're expecting one of them to be eliminated. Could there be a tie in the score between the 2 boys perhaps?

Yeah I think Cory is a goner, I personally wish it was a Cory vs Jourdan finale but I think Marvin is going to win it.

Yeah all those coming backs made it drag for too long and the last two weeks with 4 people leaving - a bit too quick. Ha. They can't find the middle ground :(

 

Secretly hoping they will abolish that shitty points system and will just consider public's opinion in judging without taking it all too LITERAL.

Thing is though, that next cycle is also a Girls & Boys cycle judging from the casting call, so Jourdan might win this one.

I'm very glad Jourdan won. At the end of the day it doesn't really matter that there hasn't been a Hispanic winner since Jaslene (which Kanani kindly mentioned), it's all about the model. And Jourdan was undoubtedly the best of the two. Plus, with them RAPING the domestic abuse issue throughout the entire cycle with her, AND shooting a film about that, there's really no surprise in the outcome! :lol:

YAY. The stronger, more consistent model won. They didn't have a boy win just because of 'boys vs. girls'. Cheers all round.

Looks like Jourdan tied with Ann (cycle 15) for most best photos gained throughout the competition with 6 :o Although Jourdan had an advantage with 4 extra opportunities (i.e. episodes). So Ann still wins BYE

Interesting fact: Jourdan is the fourth consecutive blonde winner and before Lisa won in cycle 17, there hadn't been a blonde winner for 6 cycles :lol:

Jourdan deserved it and I am quite happy with the outcome. Even though I felt Marvin was more interesting in person, both looks-wise and personality-wise, Jourdan was the more consistent model. I was so sure that Marvin would take the title probably throughout the second half of the season, but in this final episode I did start thinking "well, maybe Jourdan will win because she's more consistent". And just then, bam! Jourdan was announced as the winner.

It's a little obvious that it was rigged for a boy to win. Tyra said it herself that she only wanted a boy to win. But because Jordan's such a strong model and that it's being another boys vs girls next cycle, she can actually choose a proper winner

Jourdan definitely deserved to win she was by far the most consistent and she was a million times better than Marvin

She said she DID want a boy to win. Not ONLY a boy. If the show was rigged then no matter how great Jourdan was, she wouldn't have won. I think they will just cast stronger boys next time.

I still think it's rigged, Pavel. But as I've already said, next cycle is also boys vs girls and hence they 'allowed' Jourdan to win (OR they're just having another boys-girls cycle because Jourdan won :lol: ).

Well it just means they are not going to get SUPER SILLY making someone who is CLEARLY stronger not win the thing. Not rigged enough to get out of their way to make a boy win.

 

The whole boys vs girls thing repeating might just be their way to capture the interest more. The college, petit, British invasion cycles were good but not as innovative really. I actually see them going for a THIRD both gender cycle (if it's renewed) unless they come up with even a better idea (what else is there though? oops).

 

 

Anyway, I've been rewatching cycle 16 this last few days and Brittani is one of the unluckiest bitches in ANTM history ever! 6 runner-up photos of the week OOOOOPS. And the whole Alexandria drama which almost sent her home. 2nd favourite contestant ever. <3 (Ann Ward 1st and Allison 3rd. Probably. I'm actually thinking of ranking them ALL :D )
