If anyone is a second-rate Teyona it's Tatiana. Cody's consistent but she gives a good reason for it. Tatiana I feel is just coasting.

 

BTW I love how the photo shoots are more high budget and not too tacky, and I see the judges giving more constructive criticism. This is why I think that the judges do give those kinds of criticisms but VH1 edits them so poorly that we only hear "I like it or I don't".

 

1.) India: S T U N N I N G. It's like she and Paige switched places. The hair color works with the shoot but the one thing that I was attracted to was the Britney Spears face that she was giving. One side covered by her hair and the intensity pouring out of the other. The mouth tension was also spot on. It was sexy, but at the same time it kept a high fashion profile. I've been calling India as a winning contender since day 1, and she is really proving it.

 

2.) Cody: That camera angle didn't really do her justice because I was flipping between "is she photographing long or short here?". I love how confident she looks in the photo and she's selling ALL of the clothes, right down to the sneakers. It's a Versace campaign but at the same time it reminds me of Love & Hip Hop. She and India are the ones to beat right now. Also, so glad she won the challenge! The screaming was a bit much but everything else was SO GOOD and the ending gave me chills.

 

3.) Marissa: The judges were quick to point out how young she looks, and I kinda agree that she looks 16 here. (Marissa is 18-19 just to clear things up) It's a bit Guess meets Kendall Jenner, which is equal parts young and also high fashion at the same time. She's also really giving the outfit a lot of shape. This would be a shoot to easily make hoochie (and looking back at her portfolio, she does have a tendency to do that, moreso than Krislian ever did), but even with her boobs almost sticking out, she didn't make it look too sexy.

 

4.) Tatiana: I do think this is a good picture but there's something about it that makes it a little too basic. She's sitting on a private jet and she looks amazing, but there's not that much making her pop. It was a bit too overrated by the judges, so I don't really get why it received FCO especially with India's photo just sitting there.

 

5.) Paige: Sure it's her lowest picture in a while, but it's still a pretty decent picture. She could have given a bit more movement in the dress, yes, and her hand placement could have used a bit of work, but she photographed a lot taller than most of the girls here. She looks like she's towering over the jet and is waiting for Jason to come for her because she doesn't want to wait.

 

6.) Courtney: She look like she struggled and I don't get the bag placement. And once again she's complaining on set. UGH. Girl, I get you had a hard life but it's not gonna sit well with the client if you're acting like that in a professional setting. As for the photo, she's looking a bit stiff and, skirt be damned, had a lot of potential to be great but just ended up being a mess.

 

I dont get what the producers are trying to do now. Courtney's story could've been brought up weeks ago but it's only been done now. It's weird. Is it an attempt to make the public like her? Because it should be working really.

Courtney is getting the "bitch with a redemption arc" edit which usually happens around this stage in the competition. They make it look like the girls feel sorry for her and then next week it's gonna be the panel raving about her again. She's giving me Melrose/Alexandria vibes.

 

7.) CoryAnne: She looks GORGEOUS (her face and hair remind me of Dominique during All-Stars) but I feel that she's just relying on pretty because the poses looked a bit pedestrian. The bag positioning could have also been tons better. Another photo that had potential to be outstanding but just fell flat in the end. She's like the Mikaela to Binta's Monique.

 

8.) Binta: She's giving the SAME DAMN FACE as the last two weeks! I do think she should have taken direction a bit better and had better chemistry with Jason because this also had potential to be great. Idk why but her elimination edit reminds me a bit of Monique's minus the hilarity.

1.) Paige: Yeah, I was expecting her to deliver. Dancing and performance is her strong suit. I really liked the outfit that she was given and I thought it made her pop a bit, so I'm glad with the overall performance. The one thing that I thought she wasn't doing was playing it safe, which just elevated her takes even more.

 

2.) India: Can she just be tied with Paige? Honestly, I got Law's Harley Quinn comparison because with the purple/blonde hair contrasting with the weird lighting and the outfit, I thought she did give me a little Margot Robbie. I think she was a bit more in her comfort zone with this one because she can give those hard looks. I feel like she's the one to beat now.

 

3.) Cody: JESUS CHRIST at the hat. What is this, the muscle car shoot from Cycle 18? Despite that, she was pretty epic. Her face was amazing, she was smart with the camera angles, and she worked with what was given to her (that little tip from Ashley aside, add that to the list of ideas). She also managed to pull the focus despite being in the very back, which some of the girls on the right hand side couldn't do as much...

 

4.) Giah: So the two girls in giant oversized hats ended up getting pretty high in the call-out. Honestly, she was (and here we have the first girl in this competition that I can for sure say this) robbed. She made the biggest transformation, gave face and gave it her all and it looked like she was going to be the one coming back (which I would have loved). Maybe Tash's potential edit just seemed a bit more plausible.

 

5.) Tash: One part of me thinks that she was given one of the easiest outfits to work with and capture her full movements (I mean we have her sister looking like a bedazzled sardine wearing a sombrero, at least she still killed it), but this was pretty awesome too. The sharpness of the movements and the attitude were great, I just felt that the judges were kinda overselling it. Anyone notice how much her skin was glowing though? WOW.

 

6.) Courtney: I don't get why she got bottom two for this. It's not even that bad of a take! Sure her execution could have been smoother and cleaner and she could have been a better dancer in general, but in the end it's about making them look good, and she was giving a ton of facial expressions. Paige is still the queen of facial expressions, let's just put it at that.

 

7.) Justine: Eeek at that fainting spell! Glad she was able to recover and learn the choreography in time for the shoot! It wasn't a bad take collection, but it was definitely middle of the road. Her eyes gave the money shots, but I think she could have switched up her face and given a bit more shape with the outfit that she was wearing.

 

8.) Binta: Honestly, I think she could have done a better job if she kept her mouth closed for a second (there just seemed to be a bit too much tension and a tendency to keep it open when looking fierce), but her moves were sleek and sexy and exactly what I expected from her. Everything else just seemed a bit tried. Still an improvement from whatever the hell she was doing last week, but not much to keep her going.

 

9.) Tatiana: There was something that made her pop a bit (maybe the outfit? I need to watch her take again), but unlike the last video shoot, she looked lifeless and seemed to be more focused on the job at hand rather than trying to make herself pop. There was just a bit too much stiffness that I can handle.

 

10.) CoryAnne: I find her to be coasting, like her work lately has either been half decent or meh. I didn't really get the look she was given, it looked a little too 80's harajuku straight out of the textbook of Cultural Appropriation 101, but other than that, there wasn't much of her to go on, she was practically INVISIBLE.

 

11.) Krislian: LMAO I honestly didn't notice her. I thought that the music video stuff was going to be

but she didn't pop. Normally blending in an ensemble is a good thing, but as a model, you need to stand out in an ensemble and Krislian clearly lacked that.

 

12.) Kyle: Eh... I guess it was true to her... but it felt super stiff and didn't have that spark that I saw at the beginning of the season. Maybe there was just a lot in her mind and she was feeling a bit self-conscious with the dancing, but you gotta keep working. Still a lot better than the bottom two trainwreck takes, but it was just so bland.

 

13.) Cherish: Oh gosh. I see a lot of you wanted Cherish back. I kinda did, but not after seeing her takes. I think she gave too much attitude and too much tension (especially when opening her mouth) as opposed to some of the bad takes not giving enough. It seemed a little try hard, y'know? The "drunk aunt" comparison Law made was kinda spot on.

 

14.) Marissa: Well, yeah, Marissa was just a f*cking TRAINWRECK. It was worse than Kyle's take that she got eliminated for. She looks bored and out of her element, and I thought she was going to get the "does she even want this?" elimination edit, but making her tear her weave out works too. She seems a bit too uptight, worse than Courtney that's for sure.

Marissa gone yassss. Tash had the best performance out of the trainwrecks that were Kyle, Binta, Cherish, Krislian. No wonder they were previously eliminated! However, i think them choosing Tash was an easier choice given it can give us another storyline, with her sister and all. Whereas Giah doesn't really have that much to offer in terms of reality tv. That's a pity.

 

Now they need to get back to normal photoshoots so that Courtney can go back to slaying.

It's also obvious that the judges are favoring Tatiana because she's had two mediocre performances in a row (this picture was her worst IMO) and she never gets bottom 2.

don't get me started on Tatiana. so overrated. she does NOT look like a model 'more than anyone there' (have you met COURTNEY or CODY ehhhh??). she's ridiculously mediocre and I will always go for someone who can occasionally get a STRIKING picture over a boring hoe.

 

so using that logic I didn't mind Paige's elimination much. I just hope the next ones will be Cory Anne and Tatiana. Hopefully at the same time.

They certainly should've given Paige another chance :'( Coryanne must be the next one to go, followed by one of the twins or Tatiana. I like Tatiana but it looks like she's getting the 'huge ego' edit.

 

I'm still rooting for Courtney and India, but I'm starting to think Courtney will end up 4th. Top 2 should be India and one of the twins. Anyone else finding it hard to pick a favourite between Cody and Tash? To be honest I liked it better when it was just Cody, even though they both can model.
