That's what this thread is for :lol: total randomness ^_^ I HATED their first album stuff and I hate the singer but I was impressed with Empire :o I want to hear at least two more songs to see if I consider the album though.. according to them it's the next Definitely Maybe which would be interesting to see if he's anywhere near right -_-

I think there over-estimating the album a tad, by comparing it to Definitley Maybe but i've heard a few tracks and there quite good, and its a totally different sound compared to the average first album IMO. I got sent the album by someone tonight but I have to download this program or something to play it. :wacko: I want to give it a listen though and then i'll delete it as i'm still unsure about whether to but the new album.

I NEVER download albums myself.. if I think an album would be good I buy it and I get home and listen to it then as I find it exciting that way :lol: however I always get singles when they leak of course so I could have them until I can buy them :lol: I had a listen to Maximo Park again earlier and realised how much I loved that album :wub: their second is DEFINITELY my most anticipated right now ^_^

IF I did download The Kasabian one then it would my first album that i've ever downloaded. ^_^ But I might just actually wait and buy Their album when it comes out now, but i'm exactly the same with singles. :arrr: I liked all of Maximo Park's album for all but 2 songs and one which has grown on me a bit now.

Well I hope Kasabian don't disappoint as they'd look quite stupid if their album does turn out to be complete c**p like I expect it would be tbh as they're not as good as they think they are. -_-

I agree with what you say in that they ain't as good as they say they are. -_- But there bigging themselves up and are getting a bit of media coverage becuase of the fact they rate their album so highly and everything. I mean the lead singer has a huge ego, but a lot of bands also have huge egos like Jonny Burell and Liam Gallacher. -_-

Yes Johnny has a HUGE ego -_- Razorlight's new album is BRILLIANT but he's still not the best song writer EVER like :lol: 'who needs love, who needs the heaven up above' WOW! that's so original :o

I think Razorlight's second album is brillinat as well. ^_^ and as you say Johnny's thinks he's a brilliant song writer which he is but he's not the best, and I can sometimes listen the lyrics of some Razorlight songs and just think that their isn't really a meaning to it, if you get what I mean. :wacko:

Yeah I know what you mean actually :o they SOUND great but the lyrics don't really make sense towards the title of the song if you get what I mean :unsure:

Yeah thats exactly the only problem with Johnny's songs; they don't really have any meaning towards the song title, were as you compare Razorlight's lyrics to The Arctic Monkey's lyrics and song title you can totally see what the lyrics mean to the song and how it ties in with the song title. ^_^

Well Arctic Monkeys are one of those bands who I always listen closely to the lyrics as theirs are ALWAYS interesting ^_^ and very clever too.

Thats totally right. ^_^ I know people who got the Arctic's album and then well just basically listened to the tunes, which is what I did when I first got it, but then if you just focus on the lyrics and then just listen to them you can tell that they ALL have meaning and a lot of people can relate to the lyrics as well.

Actually that's what attracted me to their stuff when I first got the demos ^_^ it's the main reason why I was suprised about them breaking America as I don't see how americans can relate to them like british people could :unsure:

Thats why I was confused as to why they got a bit of sucess in America, I mean a lot of people in the UK didn't even know what "mardy" meant so god knows what the American's thought it meant. :lol: But well I guess some American's can actually relate to the meaning behind the songs. ^_^

Well saying that what about countries that don't speak English? :lol: They have catchy tunes to go with it hence their success ^_^ and I'm sure it'll continue for some time :D

I'm sure people will manage in countries that don't speak english but listen to The Arctics, I mean just look at Shakira's Spanish songs for example; loads of people still listen to them even though they don't know what the heck she's onna bout. :lol:

 

Also how well ermm inactive (?) is BJ at the moment on the whole. I mean I know its the summer holidays and everything but still. -_-

Yeah I've seen :lol: I don't usually like songs in foreign languages that I don't know myself, how can you like a song you don't understand? :wacko:

 

And yeah it has been :unsure: The Lounge inparticular has been inactive, however the OFs have been booming and I've posted mostly in them for the past few days myself. I might start another couple of threads in the lounge later to kick it up the arse ;)

I hate songs from foregin lanuages. -_- I can't understand them and well they might have a nice tune to it but I don't get what the heck their singing about. :lol:

 

Yeah I mean normally The Lounge would be really active, but its just not at the moment, and theres still loads of members online but their the ones that stick to the OF's I think. :unsure: Well the majority of them do, I think. :unsure:

Well it'll pick up soon anyway ;) it has phases like this ;) meanwhile the OFs have been great fun recently :D but the lounge will be back to normal soon enough.
