'Buzzin' is a great track - probably my fave track that involves 50 Cent but it's all about the Nu Shooz sample. :lol: So no need to worry about the other new entries. Apart from Imelda May, all the other new entries are from the recent Unknown Pleasures 5. ;)

 

'On The Floor' is my current anthem. :lol: I think it's such a brilliant track and it's easily my fave Jennifer Lopez single to date. I've not heard her next single yet. I've read that it's being regarded as her "What's My Name?" which doesn't bode well for me. Only reason being 'WMN' got boring fast whilst I still loved listening to 'Only Girl (In The World)'. 'All Of The Lights' is my fave Kanye West track since 'Gold Digger' in 2005. He's had a few top 10 hits in my chart since but none have had a lasting impression. 'AOTL' should remain in my chart for some time. Noah & The Whale have had a massive boost in the amount of airplay I've given the song in recent weeks. It nearly made my top 10 last week but fell short. Yes, Adele on the climb once again but I still enjoy listening to 'Rolling In The Deep' just as much as 'Someone Like You'. Adele has taken my chart by storm so far this year. 'Blind Faith' is Chase & Status' first top 10 hit in my chart. 'End Credits' peaked at #18 and 'Let You Go' just missed my top 20 and peaked at #22. 'Till The World Ends' hasn't had anywhere near as big an impact as 'Hold It Against Me' did when I first heard that track. I will admit the video to 'TTWE' is far better than the anti climatic video for 'HIAM' but a good video doesn't make a song better. That's why I'm not charting 'E.T.' by Katy Perry feat. Kanye West. The video for 'E.T.' is excellent, but I think the song itself is dreadful (especially Katy's vocals). :no: I totally agree about Panic! At The Disco. They've only had two top 20 hits for me; 'I Write Sins, Not Tragedies' peaked at #7 in my chart and 'Nine In The Afternoon' reached #12. Expect to see Natalia Kills in my chart in the next couple of weeks. :D

Well, the first couple of singles didn't make any impact whatsoever but 'All Of The Lights' is excellent. It's taken a while to get going but at least the track has managed to make the iTunes top 20 at least. Who knows, it might eventually crack the top 10 which would be nice. ^_^

It's a brilliant Eurodance track very much keeping in vein with 'We No Speak Americano' but still having its own identity. However, I seriously don't approve of the UK radio edit as they've slowed it down halfway through the song to make it sound more "urban" and it just doesn't work. I'm charting the European version which remains uptempo throughout the song (and avoids the awkward slowed down bit). Anyways, just because a song isn't a big hit in the UK shouldn't make any different - enough European countries made it a hit so it's all good.

Indeed, Noah & The Whale finally return to my top 10. I've been finding difficult to order my chart in the last couple of weeks because I really like all my top 20 tracks. Usually there's a couple that I love loads, then the tracks lower down are just "really liked" or just "liked" but at the moment really liking all my top 20 hence why new entries have been struggling to dent my top 20 despite me liking them too.

Two of the new entries are actual UK releases (Mann feat. 50 Cent and Imelda May). The rest are my fave tracks from the recent Unknown Pleasres 5 contest (in the Indie forum ;) ).

 

As far as I'm aware, 'Mirrors' is on the UK release schedule set for release on 17th April. I actually thought it had already been released but hadn't taken off but maybe it's original release got cancelled. I've seen the video quite a lot recently on the music channels.

At this moment in time, I really can't say as whilst I think 'On The Floor' is ace, there's the continuing rise of 'All Of The Lights' which could topple the Lopez. Then there's Alexandra Stan who has slowly been rising up my Pre-Rlease chart and now that 'Mr. Saxobeat' has been entered into BJSC XXXIII, it means I'll end up listening to the song a few more times than I probably would have. Then there's the other tracks from BJSC that could make an impression on my chart (yes, I will allow them to chart - including my own entry ^_^ ). To conclude, the battle for my next #1 is wide open as of this moment. :o

Whilst it looks like it's going to be #1 after all next week in the UK, I don't see LMFAO going much higher. I do like this track in a "great party track" kinda way but I don't see it going to no. 1 in my chart.

I think back to after I first entered the song and how after a couple of weeks I didn't bother with the song. Then I heard it again and it sparked another boost with the song and I ended up listening to it more (albeit not much but enough to make an impact in my chart). It's built up a very un-Hits style chart run - very few tracks end up a run like that, but it does reflect how much I've listened to the track over the last 10 weeks.

 

36 (39) Britney Spears - Till The World Ends (37-27-39-36) [4 wks] Still doing terribly I see, it's really clicked with me now :o

 

Well, the video just about helped keep the track inside my top 40. I'm still not overly sold on the track itself so don't be too disappointed if 'TTWE' does drop out of my top 40 next week.

I think 'On The Floor' is brilliant. It's like the combining of all the types of tracks I loved as a teenager - there's the Lambada influence, then it's been produced in a 'Stereo Love' style so the influences of Eurodance make it stand out for me. Having taken part in that J-Lo rate, this is easily my fave single by Jennifer Lopez.

That Brit Awards performance still gives me goosebumps when I see it on The Box. It's weird because I remember when Adele released 'Hometown Glory' and its official music video was a live performance but I always thought she sounded really pitchy on that video. Adele's vocals on 'Somelike Like You' at The Brits ween't note perfect, but the song itself is so enchanting that I don't think I'll ever tire of listening to this song.

I actually missed Adele's performance on Comic Relief but I watched it on YouTube. For me, it didn't quite have the same immediate impact on me that The Brit Awards had. It just worked like magic that particular night and I'm convinced that was the performance that persuaded people to buy the album. To think '21' has sold almost 2 million copies in its first 13 weeks on the chart is incredible. Then again, '21' is solid and it's got the really strong tracks to back up its success. Someone did post that whilst Adele is riding high with her success, it just puts more pressure on Adele in the long term to release a third album of equal quality as no doubt Adele's third album (whenever it's released) will be an anticipated one. Sadly, most of the "anticipated" albums end up being disappointing. I hope, for Adele's sake, that the record company allow Adele more time to focus on new material rather than just rambling "you've got until January 2011 to record a new album" because I've often thought poor albums are "poor" because the artists haven't had enough time to tweak the songs to make them better.

 

Anyways, I'm clearly rambling myself now. :lol:

Have you only just heard this for the first time? :o If so, I'm glad I somehow managed to introduce you to a new track. I like 'Sneaky Freak' but the only reason why it's entered as low as #37 is because I personally think there's too much echo going on with the vocals which I find slightly offputting. If the echo had been toned down, I'd find this much more enjoyable to listen to and this would've entered higher.

It's a brilliant Eurodance track very much keeping in vein with 'We No Speak Americano' but still having its own identity. However, I seriously don't approve of the UK radio edit as they've slowed it down halfway through the song to make it sound more "urban" and it just doesn't work. I'm charting the European version which remains uptempo throughout the song (and avoids the awkward slowed down bit). Anyways, just because a song isn't a big hit in the UK shouldn't make any different - enough European countries made it a hit so it's all good.

 

I personally love the breakdown bit in the middle of the song where it builds up for the final drop. I have a three and a half minute version which is longer than the UK mix :D
