OK, here are the results of the rate. I'm not going to post facts...just my personal opinions on each track.

14 Give It Up To Me

Score: 4.159

Probably one of the most despised Shakira songs in general so it's no surprised it's placed last. Personally, I quite enjoy this song, but what makes it grate on me is that you can literally hear the label forcing Shakira to delay the release of She Wolf in America and tack on this lame attempt at being "urban" when they should've been rush releasing Men In This Town instead.

Another song that I find quite enjoyable until you start to unravel the songwriting credits and see that it's an old Amanda Ghost demo, making the choice of it as a single seem pretty suspect and also frustrating when there is some brilliant songs on She Wolf which have been pretty much ignored.

A disappointing and badly timed follow up to Hips Don't Lie which was also given some horrible radio edit. Other than HDL, there's not much on OF2 that screams "SINGLE" but I can't help thinking anything else would've been better than this. Animal City was considered and tested for radio but somehow this won over.

Your Embrace off OF2 would have been my ballad single of choice but it doesn't seem to be the most popular... Animal City doesn't really do much for me though

I think Dreams For Plans would've been my ballad choice - it did pretty well on iTunes when HDL was released as well, think it almost went top 100 on the main chart.

A nice Laundry Service ballad, but it just doesn't have that same charm as Underneath Your Clothes, even with the classic Shakira line "to buy more thongs / and write more happy songs."

10. Did It Again

Score: 7.931

Oh man...I absolutely adore this song. It makes me so sad that this flopped. I love how it's melancholic yet uptempo at the same time. Pharrell's production is amazing and the video is brilliant: I can't fault this song at all, except for the fact it should've been released about 2 months before it was.

I like all these songs to be honest, there's something about Shakira that makes each song at least mildly acceptable.

Give It Up To Me - great song, but sounds like a Ciara/Beyonce track rather than Shakira. I can completely see why some people hate it

Gypsy - I feel this is underrated. It wasnt a complete flop, it went top10 in certain countries like Germany. I find it charming, sweet and simple. Plus it brought back the old Shakira sound with the harmonica

Illegal - Beautiful ballad imo, a shame its so low. Awful single choice though, especially after Hips Dont Lie which established her as a worldwide mega hitmaker.

The One - probably the weakest Shakira single I think, but still passable. Dont think it did anything anywhere

Did It Again - I also really liked this, cant understand why it flopped. The drumbeat is great, the melody is contagious - I can see what you mean about melancholic and uplifting at the same time. But yeah, not releasing Men In This Town is probably her biggest mistake ever.

With Rafael Nadal in the video.

Did It Again is definitely too low! It was almost heartbreaking when it limped into the charts even after an x factor appearance!

Not one of Shakira's best singles, but for me, the performance I've posted is probably my favourite ever Shakira performance. I would even class it as "career defining" because that performance showed her strength as a pop artist and the artistic genius of Shakira, blending a tribalistic intro with reggae and then bursting into some Rock Lobster bridge. It's completely unexpected but it works. The same can be said for the album version of the song; it's all over the place but somehow it works and makes an awesome pop track.

I just don't know what to think of this single... sometimes I think it's an amazing little pop song and other times I just think it's a lame attempt to recreate Hips Don't Lie. It's enjoyable enough, it just annoys me though because it's such a step back from the sound of the She Wolf album.

Bang on with the Loca description there, it's pleasant enough to listen to but it just seems like one HUGE regression from She Wolf

'Loca' Surprisingly, its one of my favourite Shakira tracks.

Shame about the f*** up of the UK release, i actually reckon she would have scored herself another UK #1...

Great summer song and great song for the World Cup. It's just a shame that bad timing meant that Waving Flag became the song that the UK adopted as their World Cup song. If they'd got the video out before the performance at the opening ceremony I reckon this could've been a bigger hit. It still had a pretty good run on the charts though.
