OMG, next week looks incredible. SHITS ABOUT TO HIT THE FAN *.*

This week was SO COMPLEX I think I got lost with the case about half way through. It was funny though and nice to see Jeffrey back too.

POOR DIANE :(

The abortion case was one of my very favourites. It's what the show does best, I love when an episode has some emotional pull and is thoughtful and makes me as a viewer consider my own view about the subject at hand.

I did find it an interesting and emotional case, and indeed an emotional episode all told. That scene with Will and Diane in her office, sat opposite the table from each other was pretty difficult to watch as someone who has LOVED their little team over the last 4+ years. I'm glad the promo shows Diane isn't being shunted off onto the sidelines totally in the next few episodes.

I kind of wanted Alicia to take up the management partner offer, the whole Florrick & Agos thing should be good fun but I feel like that could have brought a very interesting dynamic to the show, much like last season with the newfound struggles of being a partner.

I an super excited to watch as the av club review includes the phrase "MANIACAL WALKING" *.*

Oh my days that was everything I could have wanted from a Diane centric episode, especially the scenes near the end in the fabulous sunglasses *.*

In fact the final 5 minutes were just PERFECT. The music built up the tension so much and the slo-mo of her walking to Will's office too. In fact I kind of feel like the build up is going to have been more fun than next weeks eruption. It was nice to see Elsbeth and Viola back too, even if neither were utilised as well as their previous appearances.

Needless to say next week looks like the most explosive episode of the show thus far, but it does make me wonder what's going to be in the next 17 episodes.

This week's episode is easily the best episode ever. Not something you can say easily about a show that has (generally) been consistent for the past four seasons. Perfectly poised. Every emotion going; goosebumps, adrenaline, humour.

This season is a f***ing marvel and this next sneak peak has left me just as excited.

The last three episodes of season 2 have long been my favourite three (although I can't pinpoint a single one without going back to re-watch). I'm going to allow some time for all the hype to subside before deciding if this week's was even better for me but there is no denying what a fantastic hour it was.

This episode IS my new favourite, though 4X14 and 3X14 round out my top 3 which I understand isn't the MOST popular opinion. Much of the rest of my top 10 would be late S2 episodes though with a couple from the tail end of S4 too.

The pacing, writing, direction and music are all totally on point week in week out, but this week was just a masterclass in how to build up an episode of television. It's also totally lived up to the title too and set forth some very interesting potential plotlines. I think it as obvious Diane wouldn't be a judge, but where does that leave her now? Where do Kalinda's REAL loyalties lay? Peter is just setting up the storm that is eventually going to ruin his Governorship, but as a viewer it was everything I wanted to see. Peter finally getting a chance to BEAT Will and Will obviously being the more intelligent of the 2 playing the long game. GLORIOUS.

I love that the next 3 episodes are titled 'The Next Day', 'The Next Week' and 'The Next Month' AND that we have an unbroken series of episodes leading up to the Christmas break. Yay all round.

germgopresnhbofnrhobrs\dge;pzmgvcm,vb cdf is basically what I feel after reading your last two posts

NOBODY in my life away from the computer screen watches this. NO-ONE to BASK in conversation about, what is, without doubt the best TV show going.

(tho i would like to see a few episodes set outside the firm(s) and out of chicago thx)

Anyone watching this on U.S pace? It's amazing :)

Anyone reading anything else said prior in this thread or just posting because they like the look of their own posts?

No! I skimmed through but I couldn't see anyone saying they were on u.s pace.

Heartbreaking for Diane.

When this show eventually comes to an end I think they will give her the happy ending...

It was very brief, but that bathroom scene! I know everyone has been putting in sterling work this season and I am just a TEENSY bit biased, but I really do think she is knocking it out of the park week after week. I also loved her bedlinen *.*

I have to say Will's new girl was a bit odd. I know it's supposed to be 'oh he's going out of control' but it's a bit SPELLING IT OUT FOR YOU to have him do it with a woman so far removed from his type, with a TATTOO no less. I hope it pays off. Just like I hope bloody Melissa George and her stupid bloody BLAZER pays off, she's not quite as bad as Mr. Kalinda but it's certainly not a plot device we need.

Tbh when this all ends Will isn't going to be a character I particularly look back on with any fondness. He feels like something of a plot device and I find Josh Charles to be a bit wooden in the role. That or he IS supposed to be a wooden character and a series device linking everything together.

I think both Christine and Julianna are going ABOVE & BEYOND this season.

It's so nice when a show you have loved for forever hits its peak in its 5th season (oh wait it really is as rare as a one time thing)
